My name is Jessica, I am 26 and on my first REAL attempt at Primal life.
My husband and I did the 30 day challenge (sort of) last year from mid July to August, and never fully committed to it. About 23 days ago I had something snap in my head and decided we needed to get to it.
I am tall, 5'9" and I have a naturally lanky to athletic build. In high school I ran Cross Country as well as indoor and outdoor track. I was always thin, but never in truly good shape. After I stopped running, the weight just kept coming, of course. I used to be a carb fanatic, and am finding it easier and easier to forget about my once BFF's. My starting weight was right at 180, I'm currently down to 175 about 20 days in.
My husband is heavy, and has been since we met, but it got way worse about 5 years ago. He is my height and stocky. His starting weight was about 240, and his is at about 233. His biggest stumbling block is pizza.
We are doing the Couch to 5K training program coupled with the Essential Primal Movements, and we are feeling really good. I just registered yesterday and found myself browsing the food porn threads for more than a few hours. After a trip to Trader Joe's today, I am ready to make some creations of my own.
