If you're only 5lbs overweight (and is that really overweight for someone of your size?), don't expect it to come off as quickly as 5lbs off of someone who is 50lbs overweight. Also, if you gain any muscle or bone density at all, you're not going to lose those 5lbs. (-: Do you have a way of measuring your body fat? That's a lot more important than weight.
All other things aside, if you really do need to lose 5lbs of fat and your diet is only paleo, some things to consider are:
- You need a calorie deficit
- You need to exercise
- Stress can cause your body to resist weight loss
- Lack of sleep or other unhealthy habits can also cause weight problems
- Same with medication
So, there's a small handful of ideas for you.
