tried it, it didn't work. the spammers are real live people so they just kept typing the captchas in

OP, et all, just keep hitting the report button, admin removes them and their posts
    beautiful
    yeah you are

I mean there's so many ants in my eyes! And there are so many TVs, microwaves, radios... I think, I can't, I'm not 100% sure what we have here in stock.. I don't know because I can't see anything! Our prices, I hope, aren't too low!

Easy ban their IPs. Ban whole blocks of IPs, problem solved.

Never heard of a proxy? Or a dynamic IP address? Or a VPN?

Those are three incredibly simple ways of changing your IP address.

It's a start, hopefully gets them over the "too much work to be worth while" hill.

    1. Proxy.org - The Proxy Authority
    2. Pick proxy.
    3. Spam.

    Or

    1. Go to a free VPN site which is easy to find.
    2. Download VPN
    3. Turn it on
    4. Spam

    Or
    1. Get dynamic IP address
    2. Turn it off
    3. Turn it back on
    4. Spam

    Or

    1. Go nextdoor.
    2. Spam.

In any case, if the spammers didn't know how to change their IP address, they do now. So we can check that solution off the list.

I agree with Jim - having a few select established senior users moderate would effectively solve the problem. The last thing anyone wants is per-post captchas!
