Primal birthday cake!
I decided to bake my son a cake for his birthday today. (Note that before going primal, the most I ever did in the kitchen was heat up leftovers.) I followed this recipe and also made a variation of this frosting (I didn't have dark chocolate chips, so I used the organic semisweet non-dairy/non-soy/GF chocolate chips I had in my pantry, and I swapped the grapeseed oil for coconut oil).
The verdict? YUM. All of us enjoyed it (with a big ol' glass of milk -- love being primal!). While this is hardly health food, it's worlds healthier than anything I could have bought at the store, which is what I've done for previous birthdays.
