Hi Judg- it was a nice indulgence, yesterday was a bit of one as well, nothing bad, primal-wise, just a lot of food. It's funny, but I'm always (well at least the three times) hungrier the day after I break the fast.
We went to the outlaws for dinner, as soon as I got there I was ushered into the cellar because they were getting a new washer and drier and found that the old washer leaked and there was a good bit of rot behind in the wall. So instead of a pleasant day of watching football and avoiding snacks, liquor and carb-stuffed dinner food, I spent the afternoon doing light carpentry, a little plumbing and a bit of electrical work. Sigh. Dinner was a roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and a curiously pale salad (they love iceberg lettuce). They also love putting dried cranberries in the salad, they are quite sugary and I pick out as many as I can without being obvious. I did eat a small spoonful of taters, I'd be fibbing if I said I didn't enjoy them and I ate the chicken like it was my job. No liquor again, none was offered and I sought none out.
I'm sore in odd spots where I was crouching, crawling or on a ladder, I had worn my minimally supportive moccasins (I tried to get the vibram five fingers but they wont fit me, big wide feet, nearly flat with a very high instep).
I really didn't mind the work and I'm not at all a fan of organized sports so missing the Jets lose was no great loss to me.
All in all, not a bad day. I've put on two and a half pounds since the end of fast low, I weigh in Wednesday.
