I did it! My 1st major pig-out since going primal.

My birthday was yesterday and my partner's birthday is tomorrow. We've had a few beers and a few potates (oh noes!) this past weekend, and strangely enough, my weight went down a little.

Today our wonderful neighbors brought over their traditional birthdays dinner - ham balls, green bean casserole (full of bread crumbs), some kind of pasta-cheesy-onion dish, and chocolate pound cake with berry whipped cream.

We had some of each, with beer & tequila. Lordy! I haven't consumed this much wheat in months

I know one day does not a tragedy make, but I was so excited about dropping those couple pounds... Since I'm planning to recuperate by eating primal the next few days, hopefully I'll catch back up.

Not as bad as I thought I would.
A bit full, a bit sleepy. A little thirsty. And looking forward to bed.

Morning should be interesting. Planning to try my first bulletproof coffee.

Before primal, a carb fest would leave me puffy & full of water weight. We'll see.
I've been maybe 90% primal for a while so maybe the birthday feast is just a drop in the bucket in comparison. I'll also be busting a hump tomorrow, building a pig pen and doing other farm chores.

Something like this - Iowa Ham Balls Recipe | Taste of Home Recipes

    I shouldn't like them, but they're good!

Not feeling too bad this morning. A little water weight, but nothing a pot of coffee won't flush out
Now for some primal catch up eating!

Happy belated birthday! We are living parallel lives this week. My birthday was yesterday, my good friend's is tomorrow, had a bit of a pigout last night, consisting of red wine and organic cheese. Weight is up 1.5 lbs of bloat this morning. Another "do" tomorrow for friend's BD, then back onto the strict Primal/Whole30 wagon.

Hope you are having a great day!

    Back atcha!!
The weather finally turned sunny, and looks to be that way for a long time, so we're really celebrating now. Another outing with friends tomorrow at a new brewery Lots of Grok-work the rest of the week though - lifting, chopping, hauling, etc. Good counterpoint to all the party food & beverages. Monday will put us back to the 80%, and I'm sure we'll be relieved.
