Good grief, 7 times squashed?? You really deserve a relaxing night and a glass of good wine. Try to not drive yourself crazy with speculating until the biopsy results come in, which is much easier said than done.

You might want to pull up articles on ketogenic diets in cancers for further discussions with the clinic staff. I don't have any links to studies for you, but recall reading some stuff a while back. Paleobird may have some resources for you.

    Hang in there, girl.

Will do my research. I crashed about 830 last night. Slept a bit over 8 hours about 1/2 in deep sleep. I'm home from clinic today (no lifting >10 pounds and nothing that could start bleeding again) so working with kiddos who kick probably not a great idea. Not telling family (parents and kids) until I get biopsy results. Woke up mad at myself for not being more forceful when they were opening a door with lots of foot traffic and my breast was on display. I did cover up and tell them why and one of the docs said, "they are all radiologists, not a big deal." Well it is a big deal - its called patient comfort! Also I wanted to critique their bedside manner, but didn't. Maybe I'm in instructor mode because its more comfortable for me? Okay off to look up ketogenic diet and breast cancer scholarly articles only.

Lazy day - ice pack and Tylenol plus a nap. Did some ketogenic diet research. Having pork stir fry (2 chops, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and bean sprouts) for dinner. Probably a glass of wine. No rice for DH or me.

I think you needed that lazy day.

    Enjoy the glass of wine.

Well, I'm not a radiologist or a doc of any kind, but violating the patient's privacy in a non-emergent situation is totally unacceptable. Particularly when the patient points it out! This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine, can you tell? Maybe because I have been on both sides, it is important to me to preserve everyone's dignity whenever possible. Also, it was ingrained in me in training, and at the first hospital where I worked.

But more importantly, I am praying and thinking very hard about positive energy for you. I hope for the news today and that it is good.

Thanks Siobhan. I'm trying to let that incident go, but in my mind I'm planning future conversations to avoid the same issues. I just want the diagnosis, so I can move forward. I hate being "on-hold"

Did my faculty evaluation and turned it in. Had a massage (didn't fall asleep) and went and had my hair washed and styled. Got ready to pay and the salon said no and to remember they were praying too - almost lost it right there! Since its past closing time, I'm guessing no news on results until Monday.

Didn't sleep well - feel groggy. Told DS who lives with us - asked him to let me tell the others after I get results and he agreed. Funny thing he thought I was pregnant! I wanted him to know he would have to step it up around the house. DH is going with me to pick up organic veggie boxes - he doesn't want me lifting (even though it said 48 hours, which have passed). Once I see what's in the baskets, I will decide on what's for dinner. I'm going to work ahead on homework on the off chance I need surgery and need to get tax files organized, so I can sit down and do them.
