I think that chef is going to miss you. Seems he likes to cook for you!

Best wishes and healing thoughts to your mom.

Thanks Winencandy. Looks like snow won't be an issue, hope there's no ice.

Thanks Siobhan. Funny you should say that about the chef - when they brought the bill last night there was a card thanking me signed by the entire kitchen staff!

Home! just got off phone with dad. Turns out he withheld info last Tuesday - moms blood pressure was 40/10. Thankfully she improved with all the blood. Today she finally moved out of ICU. They are hoping she might go home Tuesday, but its not for sure. I'm glad to be home. Will go to the hospital with dad in the morning.

Forgot to add that when I was at the airport (potty) I wasn't thinking and pulled my jeans down without unzipping or unsnapping and back up before I realized I'd done so. I may have actually lost weight traveling! Weigh in tomorrow.

I'm glad your mom is doing better and congratulations on the jeans! Being able to take them off without undoing is my criteria for new ones.

Weight up 3 pounds, but my waist , tummy feel smaller. That is the least rebound I've had traveling and is probably from the wine and increased salt intake since I'm not cooking. There are still leftovers in the fridge that I left, but I think I will put a pork steak in the slow cooker. I'm thinking tomato, green chili sauce. Also set out a London broil to marinate.

This is a really good illustration of how the scale isn't the be-all end-all authority when it comes to weight loss.

Okay - I sent Fridays success story to DH since they are in the same profession. He always gives stuff up for lent - soooo drumroll....he's going to give up grains with his usual sweets. Here's hoping he feels better and looses weight.

You are so right honeybuns. Usually I gain 7-10 pounds that I spend a couple of weeks loosing again, so I'm happy. I know I should cut the wine, but when I'm traveling it relaxes me.

Mom stood with assistance and sat up for about 2 1/2 hours today. Still having issues with cough (had to stay flat too long). PT starts tomorrow. I'm hoping for Wednesday now.
