In the hotel. Craving FF, why? Is my body wanting more carbs.....does stress and fatigue play a part in increasing the need? Will have to do some research.

LOL Kathi! I've been living in a hotel since Monday. Last night (Thursday) I scouted the hallway machines for cookies--I haven't had any grain products for months! All they had in the machines was soda, which I've never liked, so I was saved from transgression.

Later on that evening I reviewed what I'd eaten all day, and realized I hadn't had much fat. So I microwaved a couple slices of bacon and felt fine afterward. Had my usual bacon and eggs for breakfast today and easily resisted the donuts and bagels that the facilitators brought in for our group.

This is my third hotel stay this month and twice at this one! I changed rooms today, while I had access to the concierge lounge (thank goodness they have eggs and fresh fruit daily), I was on a different floor. I prefer to stay on the actual concierge floor since it takes a key to access the floor - I feel a bit safer. Not that the Marriott is unsafe, but now a days you never know. They moved me to the room the concierge suggested I ask for and she was right. Bigger, ticked away, nice for an almost 2 week stay. Wrote 2 papers and put together a presentation today. Now getting ready to watch the Olympics. Have to get up at 0530 so I can eat breakfast before my meetings. They are serving breakfast, but I'm sure it's muffins or donuts and I don't want to be hungry and tempted.

    Saturday:
Gave in coming graduate students all day orientation. Food provided. Picked at fruit and insides of a sandwich. Dinner a big ribeye, baked sweet potato and salad.

    Sunday:
Big brunch at breakfast buffet with 3 sons and daughter in law. Dinner snacked on veggies and cheese.

Today: fruit and yogurt for breakfast. Banana for a snack. Trying to decide what to have for dinner before I go in to work the night clinic at 6.

Sleep is the usual. Tried to take it easy Sunday and today. Lounged around don't feel as exhausted as I did earlier this week.

Night clinic is slow tonight - maybe the Olympics or its just summer. 75 minutes left and we can close. Saw 2 patients right when we opened. Seafood for dinner with a salad. Contemplating a glass of Chardonnay when I get back to the hotel. Lost a filling at dinner. Have to call and see if I can get a temporary fix until I get home next week.

Hope the tooth isn't hurting. I lost part of a filling some months ago and kept putting off getting it fixed. By the time I finally did I had irritation all around it. I can be really stupid sometimes. I won't do that again.

I lost a filling, lost the packing (must have been a root canal) ignored it and had to have the whole tooth pulled because I cracked it so badly.
I should have gone in first thing.

Yesterday early meeting on campus. Lunch with a former student (I confess I had green cheese enchiladas, but didn't eat the beans or rice - my 20%). Back to work to put a new class together for the fall. Then qual research class until late. Back to the hotel in time to watch most of the women's gymnastics team competition. Don't have to go to work until tonight for the night clinic. So put the do not disturb sign up and plan on being lazy. Well within reason - I've already graded 3 pathophysiology projects this morning before I went for breakfast in the concierge lounge (scrambled eggs, salsa, cheese, pineapple, strawberries, tomato juice, coffee). Should hold me until late afternoon. I will plan on eating around 4 before I have to be at clinic at 6. Maybe a short nap later.

Just purchased a relaxation massage thru Groupon. Scheduled it for tomorrow morning. Looking forward to it - hotel beds no matter how good are not my home mattress.
