Nice that you're getting compliments. Helps a lot with motivation, I find.

Translator Son had a real horror story with one of his profs this semester. Apparently there are complaints about her every term. Fortunately for him and his classmates, she went on sick leave, and somebody saner took over.

I was going to wear a skirt today, but high wind warning and driving rain. I finished my stats final!!!! Now I will Skype with my stats study buddy on Monday to make sure we are on the same page and get it turned in that afternoon - on time. Tomorrow, skirt for the master's degree hooding and change into pants and flats for the commencement ceremony (too much walking). Between the two, I will make a run to pick up something to eat and work on my paper. If is all goes well I will finish it tomorrow.

In total shock about the school shootings. I can't understand how or why anyone would feel the need to kill young children. I'm praying for the families, the community and the surviving brother of the shooter and mother. My heart goes out to all of them.

Can you imagine having a sibling do something like that? I don't know how one deals with that. At some level I would feel responsible - if I had been a better sister, he/she wouldn't have done it...or I should have been able to tell that something was going to happen. All irrational, I know, but that is the way the mind works. My own brother is so gentle, peaceful, and caring that it is beyond imagining.

Thanks Judg, but I'm hooding the students - I've got a doctorate already, hence the PediDoc name! Both ceremonies went well, long day that started with eggs with cheese, salsa and pepper and bacon. Just got back to the hotel and had a light snack and some wine to unwind. Printed my boarding pass. Will pack in the morning and hit the buffet for breakfast again. Can't wait to get home.

Slept like a rock for 9 hours. I feel great relief that I got the last paper done in-between ceremonies yesterday and turned in. Its probably not my best work, but it is done and in and should be a passing grade. This morning is pretty easy - shower, breakfast, pack (always easier going home then coming), be at the airport by 1230 at the latest. Home hopefully by 6 tonight. Laundry, look at fruits/veggies DH picked up yesterday, set out something for dinner Monday, unpack, collapse!

Slept great once I relaxed enough to fall asleep. I'm going to put a pork loin with apples and onion, thyme, sage (if I've got it), and rosemary in the slow cooker. Setting the free turkey out to thaw. Stats Skype, dental cleaning, put up Christmas tree - I'm not going to do more than that - other than maybe find the stockings. I'm tired and just want to get through this week. Didn't get on the scale - I feel bloated and don't want to feel discouraged - maybe tomorrow......
