Slept well once I unwound enough to relax. Got in about 6 1/2 hours. Not ideal, but thats about how the week will go. I've not heard back about the stats final, so will skip the question and move on to the rest of the test today. Faculty meeting this afternoon and a couple of student calls. Early evening, so may be able to get caught up on sleep.

slept okay for about 7 hours. Skype meeting for stats. Class with students for 5 hours, with a lunch break recruiting graduating BSN students. Shopping for a couple of essentials. Talk with youngest and GF. Dinner with oldest, youngest, and GF. Now watching The Voice and winding down.

slept okay - up for about 1 1/2 hours- but taking it easy this morning. Don't have to be in the office until noon. Nothing dramatic today, just more stats homework, paperwork to process new students, hopefully a phone call with my PhD program director, and some on-line training for the new classroom system we are going to. I'm not sure what I will do for dinner tonight. Any way, I'm surviving, keeping busy, and hoping I've not gained inches.

So far this trip eating has been pretty good (other than the wine ). I'm in a routine, I guess and know what to order where. I also stop and get a few things to keep in the room, just in case I don't feel like going anywhere and want a nibble. Slept well last night. I had been retaining fluid (travel and no control over salting of food during cooking), but think I've finally got it off - the bottom of my feet were squishy! Today is our school Christmas party. I'm actually going to wear a black skirt. I don't think anyone at the school has ever seen me in a skirt.....but I'm feeling ready to reveal that I do have legs. Today is totally about finishing my homework. I'm waiting on one of my students to turn in an assignment and then I will have all my grading done and grades posted (a week early ). Well time to start getting ready. I plan on wearing black slacks to work and changing into the skirt prior to the party. I can't do heels all day and the top will go well with both. I will let you know how it goes.

Sounds great! Isn't it fun to wear new and different things?

Your students are going to love you for getting their grades in! The last time I was in school, one of our teachers neglected to put in our grades and went away on vacation. Trouble was that we were graduating...and taking our boards...and starting jobs requiring our degrees...

Hurray for legs! I now have four usable skirts (and one that needs to be taken in) which has got to be some kind of record for me. I was less concerned about showing my legs, and more concerned about being a straight tube down from my very big tummy.

It sounds like you are doing very well. Slow and steady wins this race, for sure.

I finally think I got all the correct analysis run for the stats final yesterday. That and helping one of my doctoral students with her IRB application took up my day. The rehersal went well and then off to the party. I got several compliments on how nice I looked and how long my legs are. Slept well last night. Get a slow start this morning. I need to get ready, go pick up my regalia that I had a zippered pocket added to, and then meet with my stats study buddy on Skype at 1. Honor society induction for students at 4, then depending on how I feel, finish stats or work on paper, or back to hotel for relaxing. I will take the meat, cheese, tomatoes, and last Greek yogurt in my fridge so if I stay late, I have some food. Tomorrow is a hellishly long day, but the young lady in the concierge lounge fixed me up with free breakfast buffet tickets so will fuel up with a big omelet and bacon before it starts (8 in the morning until probably 10 pm when commencement finishes). Then home on Sunday!

That's just not acceptable! My students love that I'm a student, because they know the things that make me unhappy (late grades, no feedback, no rubric, no prompt reply to questions) will not happen to them.

My tummy is still there, but is now officially smaller than the "girls"!
