If I was going to "sin" with cake, it would be carrot cake!
Well, my 1st choice would be cheese cake, (but you could argue that it's not "real" cake)

Not a huge cheese cake fan, unlike all my boys. Ready for clinic again (my body is going what the F, we do not get up to an alarm 3 days in a row when we are home). Going in an hour earlier, since traffic will be better. Plan on getting done by 1 and swinging by TJ for coconut cream for my coffee. DH is picking up the organic produce I ordered, so will have to sort that when I get home. I've got pork chops and a chicken (all grass fed) thawed in the fridge, so will have to figure something out for tonight!

Done with clinic, groceries bought and put away. Veggie organic box had 8 bananas, 4 apples, strawberries, 2 avacado, carrots, spinach, 1 butternut squash, romaine hearts, and a pomegranate. Good value for what I got. Put chicken in slow cooker with garlic, salt, and pepper. I will marinate the pork later. Right now I've got my feed up because they hurt!

Yuuuuummmmm. Shouldn't read this, makes me hungry!

If I'm going to sin on cake, oddly enough the gluten-free bakery stuff would be my first choice. Their chocolate cake is the best I have every had. Guess potatoes and rice can make good cake! They make a very good carrot cake also, and a cheesecake that could be killed for. Luckily I am not a huge cheesecake fan. However, it has less of the bad stuff as it is mostly, uh, cheese. No starchy stuff except for the crust, which is minimal. Anyway, enough about that!

So I've been looking for what to do with squash. Seems like cubed and roasted or soup are my choices. Any creative ways to fix it?

Tomorrow night for dinner I will cut my acorn squash in half and put it in the oven to bake.

While it is baking, I will brown some spicy Italian sausage.

When the squash is cooked, I will take it out of the oven and carefully scoop the meat out, leaving the shell intact. I will mix the cooked squash meat into the browned sausage meat and I'll probably stir in a couple of chopped Roma tomatoes that aren't going to last much longer. I will put this filling back into the shells, and top it with a little grated organic parmesan cheese, and put it back into the oven until it is piping hot.

Then hubby and I will nom nom!
