I was up about 3 hours last night. Hotel, not my bed were both factors, I'm sure! Salad with crock pot chicken was great for lunch. A long 8 hours of stats today and another 8 tomorrow. I'm getting ready to heat up some chicken/apple sausage for dinner.

It always atakes me a night or two to adjust to sleeping well in a hotel. Hilton properties always have nice mattresses IMO and I seem to sleep better there than anywhere else. I always crank up the AC so I can use the big comforter they always have and I get rid of all but two of the 19 pillows they put on nowadays.

I like eating pureed pumpkin or acorn squash with garlic, apple, and butter as a nice mashed potato substitute.

You can thicken gravy with arrowroot or tapioca flour. Yes, it's starch, for sure, but it's not grains at least.

I stay at Marriott hotels (I've traveled so much I'm platinum! ) yup,I crank up the AC too. I was up at 4 this morning, read a bit and then showered and got ready for the day. Some meditation time, organization time, cottage cheese and peaches for breakfast. Lunch crock pot chicken, tomatoes, green olives. Lots of water. I'm thinking about the rest of the chicken sausage and a salad for dinner.

Thanks, Judg. Boy you've been busy reading the journals! I like acorn squash, but the boys don't. May just make smashed potatoes and avoid them.

I am amazed at your ability to stay primal on the road and even cook in your room. You should write a book. I know what you're thinking - you have quite enough to do already!

You are funny! I'm not the only one who travels. I just decided I couldn't eat out all the time - I can't trust the menus or the "secret" ingredients that kept upsetting my tummy. Tomorrow my class of 5 is going to PF Changs. I've looked at the gluten free menu and know what I can eat. No class for me tomorrow - I've got 2 stats quizzes, a paper, and a presentation I want to knock out. If I can survive until the end of the month, I will have made up the 3 incomplete papers and be ahead this semester. My goal is to finish as much as possible before my 29th wedding anniversary.

Happy upcoming anniversary! We will be celebrating 11 years on Oct. 13th. Should be closer to 30, but we both took a detour and married other people........... big mistake!

Good job on the schoolwork! You're kicking butt!
