Added the tomatoes. Stew was great.

Romeo comes Wednesday. Funny we will have Romeo and Juliet! He is 2 years old, 12 pounds, and a solid black schnauzer.

Slept pretty well. No clinic today. Moved stuff around and have facial and pedi this morning. Then I'm cleaning out the pantries. Then possibly decorating the house. I refuse to do it by myself, so until someone steps up its on hold. Might get the checkbook balanced and bills paid. Roast, heirloom carrots, fresh green beans and new potato's all from veggie box.

Yum, your foods sound lovely. I love a good stew but little 'un turns his nose up. Will have to have that fight at some stage, but we'll leave it a while.

Love the dogs names - how cute, and even funnier because its random, hope he settles in well.

Good luck with your Christmas decorating; must get to mine, we almost have the lounge free of packing boxes, but I'm a little short on energy!

Thanks AT. Kitchen is smelling yummy right now. Having a club soda with a splash of pomegranate juice.

Mmmmmm.....stew....FWIW I find tomatoes and beef go together especially well (assuming it was beef stew).

Have you ever done a rib roast in the slow cooker? I keep thinking that would be a really good way to cook it. Must investigate.

Romeo, Romeo, wherefore...we must see a pic of him! (When he arrives, of course.)

I've done roasts in slow cooker, but not a rib roast. Yup it was beef stew. Dinner is yummy. Another club soda with pomegranate and a few frozen cranberries.

Slept a solid 6 hours without waking up. Dogs and DH woke me up at 0400. Hard to sleep through a 40 pound Basset landing on your legs! sausage, oven potatoes, and garlic/ginger sautéed bok Choy for dinner. Checkbook and bills this morning. Romeo early afternoon. Baking bad things for DH and my offices tonight. Chocolate chip cookies for him and a chocolate bundt cake for me. Grocery list, sorting stocking stuffers, and watching the sing off are also on the list. Rodney is curled on my lap, Latte and Juliet are in their respective beds, drinking coffee, watching the news. I've got some namaste flour blend (gluten free mix) that I think I will try making an apple walnut bread with (got apples in the box to use up). Need to google fresh coconut uses, as I got one and a pineapple in the box too. Don't know if I mentioned, but the rash that has plagued me for about 10 years (arms, legs, back of neck) was diagnosed dermatitis herpetiformus - in other words associated with celiac and caused by gluten. The late age onset is typical. I've tried everything without results. Now I understand why it comes and goes - pizza crust induced! So while I'm trying to eat 80-20, I'm really avoiding gluten.

I had the same thing! Now it is gone, and it is the reason I am a maniac about avoiding gluten. Not the easiest thing even for me as it is in everything, absolutely everything.
