    And that is exactly why. Most is in the slow cooker, so no butt busting and no heating up the house. DS pulverized the veggies, mixed and formed the meat loaves. So he's learning and helping.

    Slept poorly, got up read and had coffee, then back down for 2 more hours of sleep. Put pork in slow cooker with spices, onion, and chicken broth. Will add kale and mushrooms when there is about an hour left. That and salad is dinner. Need to pay bills, balance the check book, and my office is calling. We will see..........

    Hubby and I love to cook together too! He gets excited when we have a planned cooking day - or we're preparing for a dinner gathering. We have a lot of fun together.

    Unfortunately neither one of the girls cared anything about learning to cook while they lived at home. Youngest is doing pretty good with it now - oldest lives at her mom's now and I don't think she does any of the cooking. Before my son moved out he was doing all his own cooking and is enjoying finding his creativity in the kitchen!

    my motivation

    As per Marcadav:
    Do 30-60 days clean primal.
    No grains, sugar, alcohol.
    Eat 3 meals and primal snacks.
    Don't track food.
    Don't tweak.
    Don't expect issues to go away quickly. Instead, just follow the plan and see how things play out.
    Decide on an exercise plan you can/will do consistently during the 30-60 days and then do it.

    Tonight I put it in the slow cooker about 90 minutes before the pork was done. I've sautéed it with onions, garlic and either a squeeze of lemon or some vinegar also - it's kind of a cross between spinach and greens in taste. A bit sturdier than spinach.

    Kale is the best. I liked kale even when I didn't like veg. Used to put it in soup. Why haven't I done that lately? Must get on that!
