You are what you eat, so only eat the best!
That would be up to the producers and consumers of the content to decide, wouldn't it? If someone perceives a lack in the available material, and they want to fill it, why would you think to judge it before you've even seen what they can do?
She's being hostile because you're being rude, methinks. You're trying to convince her that a whole project is a bad idea just because you don't care about it--it's not about you, dude. Other women in this thread have expressed enthusiasm for the idea, so clearly that is at the least a very small niche for such a product.
Today I will: Eat food, not poison. Plan for success, not settle for failure. Live my real life, not a virtual one. Move and grow, not sit and die.

I also love the idea of a paleo/primal magazine for women... geared more toward good health and fitness without the cosmo nonsense... I would totally subscribe.
Kenn is right about the costs being fairly minimal if you are willing to invest some time in learning how to do things yourself. Major costs would be server space/web hosting, any upfront software licenses, advertising, etc. My boyfriend & I run a small online magazine (just starting up, not primal-related), and we have done just about everything ourselves after a lot of research, trial & error. It takes some dedication, but you could definitely do this, especially if a few like minds come together to contribute to the effort.
Also, despite men not being the target audience, it's not a bad idea to evaluate & consider their comments about content, etc, especially if it would be a factor in them sharing with their spouses/mothers/sisters/friends. Although the squeamishness about lady issues is just too bad LOL.
Good luck to you ladies...![]()

My journal.
No offense intended. I skimmed it.
Perhaps we could use WordPress? I already use it for my own personal primal food blog. It's easy. The only real expense was paying for my own domain and then also paying to use said domain name on its own, instead of mydomainname.wordpress.com
LOVE WordPress. Super simple and always works well.

I support this idea, with the caveat that body image issues get tackled. Chasing six-pack abs is particularly dangerous for women, and if I had a nickel for every "primal isn't working" thread started by a female with a perfectly healthy body-fat %, I would have at least 7 trillion nickels.

Yes you need your own unique domain name. You can still use wordpress. Domain registers aren't that expensive either less than $20.
The whole key to making this work is ORGANZATION. Developing a biz plan prior to launch is the second key. It would serve as a guide for development.
