I explained how you could do it on page 1, however, since I'm not a woman I guess that's not good info.

That would be up to the producers and consumers of the content to decide, wouldn't it? If someone perceives a lack in the available material, and they want to fill it, why would you think to judge it before you've even seen what they can do?

She's being hostile because you're being rude, methinks. You're trying to convince her that a whole project is a bad idea just because you don't care about it--it's not about you, dude. Other women in this thread have expressed enthusiasm for the idea, so clearly that is at the least a very small niche for such a product.

If you are a woman and post an opening message that says, which in no way says you only want women's opinions you obviously only want women's opinions and all men should go DIAF.

There is a decided "women only" vibe from many posters/threads around here lately, which I find disappointing, especially given that the OP is usually not one I associate with such. That said, if ever said magazine were to start I'd buy it for my wife as I would like her to know the primal benefits for women, except apparently I should be reading Shape or Cosmo like the freak I am.

Perhaps Mark will start a new forum feature where gender exclusive threads can be color coded to avoid giving offense.
Haha so many pissy guys in this thread because the women don't care what the men think about an idea that is not meant to appeal to them...

No one told anyone to go away, who was not being a big jerk.

No, that was good info, Kenn, thanks!

I also love the idea of a paleo/primal magazine for women... geared more toward good health and fitness without the cosmo nonsense... I would totally subscribe.

Kenn is right about the costs being fairly minimal if you are willing to invest some time in learning how to do things yourself. Major costs would be server space/web hosting, any upfront software licenses, advertising, etc. My boyfriend & I run a small online magazine (just starting up, not primal-related), and we have done just about everything ourselves after a lot of research, trial & error. It takes some dedication, but you could definitely do this, especially if a few like minds come together to contribute to the effort.

Also, despite men not being the target audience, it's not a bad idea to evaluate & consider their comments about content, etc, especially if it would be a factor in them sharing with their spouses/mothers/sisters/friends. Although the squeamishness about lady issues is just too bad LOL.

    Good luck to you ladies...

No offense intended. I skimmed it.

Perhaps we could use WordPress? I already use it for my own personal primal food blog. It's easy. The only real expense was paying for my own domain and then also paying to use said domain name on its own, instead of mydomainname.wordpress.com

I support this idea, with the caveat that body image issues get tackled. Chasing six-pack abs is particularly dangerous for women, and if I had a nickel for every "primal isn't working" thread started by a female with a perfectly healthy body-fat %, I would have at least 7 trillion nickels.

Yes you need your own unique domain name. You can still use wordpress. Domain registers aren't that expensive either less than $20.

The whole key to making this work is ORGANZATION. Developing a biz plan prior to launch is the second key. It would serve as a guide for development.
