Hi Mike! Nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to following along with you as you go!
Greetings Everyone,
My wife and I went Primal about a month ago and we feel great. I am not overweight, I chose this diet because it sounded ridiculously healthy. I would actually prefer to gain some weight.
I am a former Marine and endurance athlete. I'm 5'8" weighing in at 140. I don't look muscular or lean I just look skinny. My goal is to gain 15lbs and develop a little more muscular looking physique. Below is a picture of my balding self. Hopefully someday I can call it a before.

I will post occasional meals and recipes, but mostly I will focus on fitness. This will not last 30 days it will last until I achieve success.
Cheers,
Mike Zentz

Starting weight: 223
Current weight: ???
Goal weight: 145
Waist measurement 08/03/12: 42 inches and three quarters
Goal waist measurement: 30 inches
Hey thanks!
Hey, great introduction!
Its's been a great morning!
Wakeup: 7am
Breakfast:
Coffee
Omelette (4 Eggs) with onions, tomatoes, and peppers
Bacon (3 slice)
Exercise:
Two hour jog/hike through Puu Ualakaa State Park. I climbed trees, balanced on fallen branches, did pullups from branches, reverse pushups while hanging from branches, threw/carried some large rocks, and did some boulder hopping. I wore my RunAmoc minimalist shoes most of the time. I try to go bearfoot as much as possible but my feet just aren't strong enough for the whole hike yet.
Current Weight: 140, +15lbs to go.
I just got home from my workout and am feeling very sore but full of energy. I wanted to take some pictures for you guys but sadly it was raining when I left my house. I'll be doing this hike again in a few days and hopefully I can get some pictures.
Until then here are some older ones from the Pali Trail.

My favourite snacks:
caprese - Its just a slice of fresh (real) mozzarella and a slice of tomato on top of a basil leaf. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and crack some pepper on top of that.
roasted honey almonds - Put a plate of almonds in the oven on 350 for about 20 minutes. Take them out and lightly drizzle honey and cinnammon on top.
crispy bacon and almond butter
strawberry yogurt - Goat milk yogurt with sliced strawberries. Should be half strawberries and half yogurt, slice up the berries and then mix/mash it all together.
dark chocolate
Welcome to MDA and TPB! Thanks for stopping by my food blog yesterday to comment! I'm so envious of the forrest you get to play in! I'm sure you'll see incredible success with your goals! Keep posting some pictures (I love photography!). FYI - I've subscribed to your journal and will keep on checking in.
Again, welcome!

Thanks so much Jennifer! I'll try to post pictures as often as I can. Rain is major limiting factor but it keeps everything green![]()
Cheers,
Mike
Looks like you live in a lovely place, what a forest!
Caprese is fantastic, especially with real mozzarella (from buffalo's instead of cow's milk). I'm trying to limit my dairy intake, so I only have it once in a while, but I love it!.
Good luck on your journey!
