Thanks Paleobird! I'm laughing at the idea of a dentist, frantically searching for plaque and coming up dry. That must be a breath of fresh air for him!

Yesterday I re-read some of MDA's articles about sleep, and I've been trying to include more sleep in my day. I have a four month old baby, so this is not necessarily easy. I've given myself permission to go to bed earlier (before nine, even!) to make sure I get another hour or so before the kid wakes up requesting food. I'm also prioritizing naps during the day. My body is welcoming of the sleep; I have no trouble drifting off to catch those extra Z's.

I've also been putting some focus into wandering around barefoot and strengthening my feet. I stretch my toes; I draw the alphabet with them. I've been walking barefoot to the park and then walking barefoot around the park. I'm barefoot in my own house and yard. Black asphalt is challenging in the summer sun--especially since its texture is so jagged. Grass and dirt are great, though! And I found out that stepping barefooted into dog poo doesn't hurt.

I'm quite interested in rejiggering the routine in my home to include winding down as the sun sets. I'm going to try turning off some lights and discouraging flagrant television watching. The baby has a bedtime routine; why shouldn't the adults? Maybe I can buy some of those flameless candles and set them up in the living room for some ambiance and glamour and romance and atmosphere and stuff.

My super helpful husband is helping a super lot, because he brings home super groceries--he's making it easy to find lots of yummy primal food that's ready to eat with minimal preparation. I love that so hard!

Yesterday I continued to do level four planks, and I am so proud. So very proud. Level five, here I come!

Boyfriend continues to eat primally and lose weight. He's weighing himself while I'm not, so it's interesting to track his progress. On Wednesday morning, I hope to post a progress picture so we can see how my body is responding to this regime.

Yesterday I tried to relate my five eulogy to points to Husband and couldn't remember number four ("be an inspiring teacher") for the life of me. Maybe that shouldn't be one of my core focus points? Hmmm. I'll tuck that under my cap and smoke it later.

Also! I have been trying some IF; mostly skipping breakfast. Occasionally I'll skip lunch instead. This has been not-so-hard; but it means that I need to make sure that I have food around in the event of an omg-must-eat-NOW-or-crash-hard moment. It feels pretty natural. Husband only eats two meals a day. Boyfriend is often satisfied with just one. I'm trying to include a little bit of extra fat in my meals and to stretch out the time between them. It feels effective.

Forgive my nosiness but you have one of each, a boyfriend and a husband? Not judging, just honestly curious.
They both sound like great guys and are being helpful to you in your Primal journey.

Yep! My boyfriend lives with me and my husband half-time, and both my husband and my boyfriend have other girlfriends. It all just worked out that way, but it works!

Husband and I are throwing a barbecue tonight, and Husband is SO TOTALLY making buttery cajun steaks in my honor. Squee! Plus I just made mashed cauliflower for the first time, and also we have three types of sausages and some skin-on chicken breasts. I'm so not minding this. And salad too. I made salad!

Cool. A lot of guys are open to the idea of multiple girls (very open!) but aren't so open minded about sharing with another guy. I'm glad you found an arrangement that works for everybody.

I make a mix of mashed cauliflower and parsnips that is heavenly. Non Primal people keep asking for second and third helpings.
Butterfly cajun steaks sound awesome. Well just about anything with cajun spices works for me. And salad. Have you seen the BAS thread Dr. Bork Bork (aka Trish) started on the recipes section? Some cool ideas to keep salads interesting.

I like parsnips! I should try mashed cauliflower and parsnips sometime. Last night's mashed cauliflower concoction went really fast. Next time, more cauliflower!

I should totally take a look at the BAS thread. My idea of an interesting salad is MORE AVOCADO, and I can probably do better than that.

I've been getting very much into the barefoot and sunlit thing. I really feel like the primal lifestyle is loosening me up and making me happier in my skin. I've been so insulated, with my carpet and my computer and my air conditioning; I think I've become really desensitized over the years to what my body wants and needs. Before, I felt like I was on an inevitable slide down into further mental and physical brokenness. Now I feel like I'm climbing a hill--effortlessly--and reaching new heights of happiness and wellness. I can't believe it. I'm getting better, not worse.

I'm giving myself permission to go to bed early and to nap. I'm enjoying myself when I play. I'm feeling like I have the potential to be strong and physically very able. I'm feeling courageous and confident instead of timid.

Heavy whipping cream in my coffee doesn't hurt. I should go have some coffee now, while the baby is still happily occupying himself.
