    Primal students! What to munch while testing?

    Hey guys,
    There are tests ahead of me - 3-4 hour long tests.

    I gotta keep my senses up (because time is important) and need a "boost" in mid-test, when I get a down..
    What can I bring to a test?

    I find pemmican works nicely.

    Won't give a nutritive boost, but when I needed something to replace gum, I started chewing on those Tea Tree Toothpicks - they are a great little burst of mouth excitement, with no artificial sweeteners or scary chemicals, just essential oil. I highly recommend them!

    I would suggest sliced meat rolled around some cheese and cucumber, maybe with mustard if you like that. Nothing too crunchy, like carrots or nuts, to avoid distracting others. Bring a napkin, in case any juiciness gets on your desk.

    Hard-boiled(already peeled) or devilled eggs, are good, too. If you don't want to deal with the balancing of full-on devilled eggs, you can make 'the devil inside' eggs, where you don't overfill, and fold the two halves back together. Wrap in some cling wrap, or a napkin, and you're set.

    Cherry tomatoes: easy to pop in your mouth, no muss or fuss.

    Little balls of mozzarella, or meatballs, no sauce: same thing.

    I would also bring a couple of hard-boiled eggs and a bag of macadamia nuts and dark chocolate. If you are higher carb, perhaps a banana, which also might help calm the nerves (it's a tradition for people fighting performance anxiety.) Good luck :-)

    I'm completely baffled by the need for a snack mid-test. Completely.
    Is it not possible to go 4 hours without food without hunger distracting you?

    Minty things, such as mint gum, breath mints, and mint toothpicks, have been studied and shown to increase mental alertness.

    I would bring caprese.

    Its just a slice of fresh mozzarella and a slice of tomato on top of a basil leaf. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and crack some pepper on top of that.

    Make a small plate of that and brink a napkin. Enjoy!

    Don't eat while you're taking a test. Just finish it early and take a nap.
