Around here we have In and Out Burger. They offer 'protein style'. It replaces the bun with large lettuce leaves. It's not perfectly primal, but when co-workers want fast food for lunch, it's an ok compromise. It's not on the menu, you have to ask for it.

I also live in Canada. I've lived in Vancouver and in various cities in Ontario, currently in Ottawa. I agree with you to some degree. If you are going to a chain fast-food restaurant (I'm talking stuff like McD's, Burger King, etc), good luck figuring that shit out. If you are going to a local chain such as, Vera's in Vancouver, or Hintonburger in Ottawa, yes, you'll more than likely know where they get their meat.

That's cool! I'm sure most places would do something similar, if it was requested.

Maybe it's just because of where I live, but I work in a restaurant, and bunless burgers, breadless sandwiches, fruit subbed for potatoes, tomatoes subbed for toast, etc. are all VERY common, including among the other employees. What kind of dimwitted hicks are you guys dealing with.

that reminds me of when I was doing atkins years ago I would go to mcd's and order a double cheese burger with no bun, they would ALWAYS put the cheese on the bottom so when i opened the box the cheese would be stuck to the bottom. Its like Duh people hot burger on top of cheese. But from what I understand there is a system to how they put a burger together thier and when you take one link out of the chain they loose it. LOL

Protein style is awesome on the go...Mooyah even has that as an option on their menu...if only they offered a sweet potato as a side, I'd order more than just the burger.
