    First Primal Cholesterol Panel, need feedback

    I started to eat primal 3 months ago.
    I eat very little carbs, less then 50 grams a day. Use coconut & mct oils, eat avocados, fish, eggs( everyday), chicken, lamb, goat and organic beef. Plenty of saturated animal fats. Krill oil, Vit-D supplements.
    LDL by Enzymatic, direct measurement using roche evo.
    Total cholesterol 240.7 mg/dl 110-200
    TRIG 92.2 mg/dl 45-150
    LDL to HDL ratio 3.01 00-2.5
    HDL 56.8 mg/dl 30-85
    LDL 171.1 mg/dl 40-160
    VLDL 18.4 mg/dl 8-34
    Atherogenic index 4.24 0-5.0

    My previous labs on a low fat/low carb diet,
    LDL 116.6
    HDL 57.1
    TRIG 67.3
    Total 177.2

    Am I eating right???

    You went from previous 67 triglycerides to now 92 triglycerides switching to low carb primal?

    Which one is the latest test?

    Both tests look good except primal folks' triglycerides are usually way below 70.

    Coconut oil raises cholesterol by about 30 points...but in a GOOD way.

    Thanks for your feedback. 92.2 is my latest results. I do use tons of coconut oil.

    Your previous results were on a low-carb/ low-fat diet? Can you give us an idea what you were eating before you went primal?

    I was eating chicken breast, lean cuts beef, lean fish like sole & flounder. Nuts, Vegatables, low glycemic fruits, low fat dairy.

    Perhaps I'm eating to many eggs daily, 3-4?
