Oohhhh... I'm gonna be imagining this all day...
.......most of our society subscribed to the PB? What would our lives look like? (extra credit for creativity).
In our schools?
In our workplaces?
In our homes?
On our roads?
The first thing I would love to imagine, instead of suburban sprawl, are communities requiring developers to plan green spaces, community playgrounds, bike lanes, sidewalks, and places for local businesses to operate, so that folks could walk or bike to pick up their groceries or go to the farmer's market!
My wife and I talk about this often, one thing for sure our government wouldn't be having to pass a 1 trillion $ health bill. Just think how many hungry people you could feed primal food with 1 trillion dollars!
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For verdant rows of greens!
For purple mountain majesties,
Above the meated plain!
Well, there's the obvious one: people would bring in healthy snacks instead of doughnuts and oreos for special events.
At work, going away parties/birthday parties would involve a barbecue, not cake and punch.
Schools would waste a lot less time teaching kids completely useless knowledge and concentrate on teaching stuff they'll actually use. I know this might seem like a bit of a stretch but since the PB is about functional fitness, why not emphasize functional knowledge as well?
No vending machines
Subduction leads to orogeny
My blog that I don't update as often as I should: http://primalclimber.blogspot.com/
I think lunchtimes at school / work would be a much better place. Think of kids / adults sitting down to fresh, brightly coloured foods, that actually require CHEWING so take a long time to eat (relatively), rather than white / grey / brown mush. Then there would be no sugar high and quiet due to feeling stuffed / guilt at over-eating / guilt at eating (which I see a lot). People would finish lunch invigorated, not just waiting for home time. I see people chatting, eating at a leisurely pace and probably going for a walk in the sun after.
Afternoons would not be so hard, huh?
Sigh. And a world where we don't celebrate or reward ourselves by damaging ourselves. Wonderful.
I'm going to be homeschooling my kids next year and am quite excited to teach them about Mark's primal food pyramid!!!
...and all the rest of the great habits they can have.
...the real question is how would this affect our brothels?
Probably would have a negative effect on brothels, because wives/girlfriends would have way more energy,
and husbands/boyfriends would lose their spare tire. Who would have to pay, then?
