The cayenne ones are now a staple in our house. If I by them by the case from my co-op they're like $2.60 a can. The oil is good on salad.

IMO, the best sardines are from Wild Planet. When I eat them it's usually for a quick breakfast. Normally, I just eat them straight out of the can while eating some sort of berry. Lately it's been cherries.
I like fresh sardines in marinara.
Ah! Relief! So, when I said that I eat Wild Ocean, I actually meant Wild Planet - and on their website they say they're packed in a BPA-free can. So it looks like I'll keep eating a can of those every day.
It's hard to beat Wild Planet sardines, they just taste great.... and the BPA free can is nice for those of us that eat them daily.
I am not squeamish in general, and i want to like sardines, but I always find after I eat about half a can I am not full but I get a weird, queasy feeling. Anyone else get this?
Got some good info here! So to sum it up sardines are a good choice, just be sure can is bpa free and not in soy bean oil. And if I can afford it on occasion get the fresh onesThanks! Having a quick go to food makes life so much easier!
