I have to admit, having these 5 minutes down the road does help keep you in shape.

Just moved back to north queensland after living in california for 8 years. my first trip through a supermarket i was so happy. the ingredients lists weren't 5 lines long, everything looked so fresh and real. the meat had no additives. tons of places to buy fresh caught local seafood. its nice to be home again

I've recently learned that some of Woolies and Coles beef is grass fed. It's not normally labelled as such, but the economy cuts, if they are redder in colour apparently are.

In Australia every one has a 6 pack, and if we lose a limb due to accident or amputation it grows back.

Yeah, you can kind of tell looking at it. Apparantly 1/3 of Aust beef is grain-fed. Most of the feedlots are in QLD.

"Coles source both grass and grain fed cattle depending on seasonal quality. When rains are good, cattle are fed on grass. Being high in beta carotene, this is transferred to the meat and is why the fat is cream in colour. During drier times, grass is substituted with grain feed, and the fat has a whiter appearance."

I think I'm fascinated with Missouri like you're fascinated with Australia...seriously. It's one of the few states I haven't been to yet, so I'm letting the anticipation get a little out of control. How would you describe your experience living there?

^Nah, Newcastle and Merewether baths. It has been a bit too cold the last few weeks though.

Wow, that is impressive. Beautiful -- no wonder Newcastle got a great rap in some tourist comp recently. Great pics if you took them.

It is a great place to live. I get pretty burnt out on it at times but I realize how much I love it whenever I go out of town for a few weeks. Sydney/Melbourne feel too hectic and smaller towns feel too slow. Newcastle is a happy medium.
