Okay, first of all, Ticker update! 2 more savory days. It was actually easy this weekend. Well, I was eating a lot too. I actually tracked my food Saturday for once (to see how much I am actually eating when I am going all out). Since it was a bona fide maintenance week, I can add up calories and check my maintenance calories, Saturday to Saturday.

    All right, October!

I verified my maintenance number for last week. I assumed ~ 2000 calories on Sunday, and surprise, surprise it cam up to 1590 cals, so yea, 1600 is my to maintain if I keep up the activity level. To lose a pound a week I need to eat 1,100 calories a day. That's not gonna happen. So, for October, I set a goal of sticking to under 1,400 cals a day. I am not dropping protein again if they paid me to do it. After protein infusion, my performance in the gym was normal, but not spectacular (no PRs).

Now this week is gonna be a mess. I am going for wisdom teeth removal on Wednesday. I don't know the details yet like if I have to fast on Wed till the surgery since they will be sedating me. I assume that after surgery I am going to be living on coconut milk-egg and nuts smoothies for a couple-three days. Well, maybe throw in some spinach for color.

I will also be making a zebra fudge for my daughter to take to school on Thursday for b-day, and then there is baking and decorating the b-day party cake and cupcakes. I will be up to my ears in sweetened condensed milk, cream, dough, white and dark chocolate. YUP.

So, I talked to my dentist and they want an 8 hour fast with no water before the surgery. So, I think Wednesday is going to be my big fasting experience. Technically, I can put something into myself at 4 am when I get up, but I figure why risk being sick after or during surgery. Maybe I can experience the enlightening shit people rave about.

Thanks for stopping by my journal. I can't believe the amount of tofu I've eaten over the years in the interest of being "healthy." But no more!

I had my wisdom teeth out 3 or 4 years ago (I put it off for like ... 20 years). I won't lie and say it was fun, but it wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I hope it goes well for you.

Thank you, I think I will be Okay too I've given birth, wisdom teeth should be peanuts!

Okay, yesterday night suddenly I get sore throat. Yukes. So, my calories went over 1400, since I had to get butter to get some soothing action going. Oh, well, the weight today was 123.2 lbs, so it's not that bad + fats were ruling the day. Gotta get my hubby to pick the kiddo from school today so I could nudge in a visit to the steam room after the training. This bug is going DOWN!

The good news, the teacher told my wee one she can't have treats brought to class. F'ing A+!!! In a slightly sad but not unexpected news, the rains came in the night, and washed our Indian Summer clean away. Good thing I planted my bulbs yesterday, they got all watered in. Now, it is to collecting summer bulbs, cleaning up the beds, planting garlic and stuff.

And yep, the 20 days of Savory Living. Woot!

    October 1st: 1460 cals, 21/12 g carbs, 74 g protein, 73% fat; 2 hrs walking + ~ 80 min gardening

This is a very quick update since I am fasting for my surgery and don't want to think about diet and foods. I swapped cardio for steam room yesterday and for sleeping in this morning. Steam room fixed my sore throat, so I was able to sleep much better (yay!). I was still a bit tired from fighting the cold and the nose is runny (eww).

I ate a little higher yesterday to make sure I can work this morning before I have to leave for surgery while holding the full fast (without water). I had a cup of coffee at 5 am, and that's it.

I am curious to see if fasting + no cardio will be more efficient in taking the weight down than no fasting and cardio. Weight this morning bound up to 124 lbs after lifting and no cardio and late eating (I presume).

The yesterday's chapter was actually pretty applicable, teaching me about not being a backseat driver on the food directives, but talking in a calm inner voice to myself about what needs to be done. Good stuff.

Today I will be reading on 'I Just Can't Say No to Food". Another good one.

Two more Savory days. No failures yet.

The appetite was back today, so I consider myself recovered from the surgery. My body is happy, my scale is not. Up to 124.5 lbs today. Well, I am not doing a control weigh in this week, since inflamed, on drugs and not being able to do much for a half a week doesn't sound like a typical week. I am starting to think that 121 lbs is some sort of a magic number - I am all geared up to get it, and then things happen!

I did fondant flowers yesterday and half the baking for my wee one's b-day. And traced a bunch of Scooby gang in case kids want to use it for their crafts during the b-day. Not much otherwise. Zonked.

This morning though I got out of bed on the right foot, and will make an attempt at weight lifting. Slow and not trying for the best weights EVAR. I will be repeating this week starting Tuesday anyway. I doubt I will have cardio in me, but steam room is the must. The cold needs the last blow!
Oh, yeah, obviously the fasting is not my way. I just eat it all back the next day. See my log, lol.

    Oct 4th: 1800 cals, 38/9 g carbs, 85 g protein, 71% fat, 30 min walking, ~ 30 min light gardening, stm rm

Oh, zut, I am getting dizzy again. I hope going for a walk in our brisk autumnal weather will fix that, but I have a pill to take still. I WANT GYM!
