Just walked yesterday. I am hoping to put in the UB before the aikido class today. Fasting so far, as morning weigh in was > 135 lbs still. Kindda undecided if I will eat before coming home ~ 4 pm or not.

UB before aikido worked, however, was very tired yesterday + hurt something in the upper back on one of the rolls. So, just spent a quiet day off, walked, picked raspberries a little and just rested. Unfortunately, ate before I realized that there won't be the gym, so weight bounced back to 137. Fasting today. I really dislike the tendency to go over 135, gods, please don't let it mean that I am gaining again.

Overall, the class was nice, now I am having a hard time deciding which class to pick for the fall. Hap ki do is sexy, but aikido is friendlier and I will probably learn a lot more at a slower pace.

Period still not starting, so hopefully I can make the LHR appt tonight. In case it kicks in at the last moment have everything for the lifting with me. Hap ki do is cancelled this Sunday, so I am going to lift (and HIT) both Saturday and Sunday, then do 3 lifting sessions and 4 MA classes next week (1 make-up hkd)

Decided that schedule-wise hap ki do is better. Just don't like an idea of 2 weeknight classes from 7 to 8:30 pm. And couldn't keep myself from going for a jog/run at lunch. A bit outta cardio endurance, but 30-35 min was no problem, except at some point felt pressure in the knees. Not certain what's the cause.

Easy fast today so far, but getting close to 1 pm, so the dreadful 2 pm is just around the corner, uh-huh.

    Okay, Week 3:

Very tired by Sunday morning, had to take Jack 3D to manage the lifting session (went well), decided to skip cardio after
Summary: 4 lifting sessions, 2 elliptical HITs, 1 outdoors 30 min run and 1 aikido class

Gained 1 lbs of weight, the scale says not muscle, unfortunately. WTF? Took measurements Saturday morning, depressing. Basically, added .5 inch at the waist and 2 inches on the thigh (!), while no changes to the bicep or neck. I am growing far too fat for comfort.

    Waist 27.5"
    Hips 37"
    Thighs 38"
    L Bicep 12"
    Neck 14.5"

Argh, hurt my lower back yesterday during aikido, dunno how, so no lifting today. No cardio even, just walking (hoping to put in 2+ hrs) to walk the back out. Starting to give a serious thought to starting Fast M Diet tomorrow.

    Wed, Th - cardio days
    Fri, Sat - lifting days
Sun, Mon, Tue - Low impact, pool, steam room days - and hapkido...

I am ITCHING to get back to the gym and lift, but back is still healing from that odd roll in aikido. Doing another aikido tonight fingers crossed doesn't worsen. Half a mind not to make up hap ki do class on Thursday and lift instead. But if I stick to hap ki do I can lift Fri-Sat and just have the half lifting load this week. And probably will do better for the back. Unless i tweak it again in aikido. Meeen, i gotta learn how to roll properly!

Yay, I made it through aikido class without hurting any part of my back! I guess my rolling has improved. Weight down to 135 lbs this morning back again, so yeah, thanks goodness. Considering adopting a very different schedule next week with only two lifting events and the FAST diet like eating.

I had a very low intensity week this week: 3 MA classes and 2 lifting sessions, with some walking, of course. Still in 135 range, though I did not weigh myself this morning and had one huge weight spike to almost 138 lbs. I really wish weight would start going down. I will be trying macros changes this week as per Fast Metabolism diet (only with quark, bananas and waaaay less grains).

I still do not know what to do about my classes. Very tempted to maintain current schedule of 3x a week (1 aikido and 1 hapkido) for Sept/Oct. But worried I can't do it/too hard/stressful/busy?

Hey Leida, just popping in to say hello How do you find the journalling - does it help you? I've abandoned mine lately, but I've found it amazing in so many ways.

Have no idea about martial arts so can't help you with that. Since my energy picked up I just exercise how and when I want... I want to do different things every day. It seems to be working well

    Hugs to you!
"I think the basic anti-aging diet is also the best diet for prevention and treatment of diabetes, scleroderma, and the various "connective tissue diseases." This would emphasize high protein, low unsaturated fats, low iron, and high antioxidant consumption, with a moderate or low starch consumption.

In practice, this means that a major part of the diet should be milk, cheese, eggs, shellfish, fruits and coconut oil, with vitamin E and salt as the safest supplements."
