I did briefly in the fall of 2007, got hair loss from thyroid damage.
In terms of palatability red meat just doesn't cut it for me, unless its prime fillet steak. so I doubt I could ever eat it in excess as I am a student and can't afford prime fillet steak very often. I prefer roast chicken and fish red meat.

i usually eat red meat at every meal, between 4-10 oz at a sitting. a few meals per week, i'll eat pork or chicken instead. i've only had 3 heart attacks, so i think i'm doing just fine.![]()
