I have decided that the time has come to start a journal. I have been primal/paleo for about 13 months now with great success. The thing is, I have been "cheating" more often than I would like lately. It isn't really anything major, my wife and I will go get ice cream one night a week or I will have a gluten free cookie from the bakery down the street. Nothing too major but I want to try to reduce these occurences.
So, I figured I would track all of my food and exercise in a journal for the next 30 days or so to try and see any patterns that I might be able to change to eliminate this excess sugar.
I currently do Starting Strength 3 days a week and try to get 1 sprint session in every week. I will be tracking these workouts on here as well.
I have not eaten yet today so I have nothing to report yet. I shall return after lunch!
For lunch I had a salad with Spinach, Arugula, pulled pork, red onion, and shredded carrots. I also had a block of raw milk farmhouse Gouda cheese. Drink was unsweetened black tea. All of this was after an 18 hour fast.
After lunch I went for a 20 minute walk.
This evening's workout:
Squat: 270 lbs. 3x5
Bench Press: 195 lbs. 5, 4, 4
Power Clean: 170 lbs. 5x3
Weighted Chinups: 25 lbs. 3x5
Dinner was 2 pork chops with apple and red onion salsa and a big pile of broccoli soaked in Kerrygold butter.

1 can of wild caught salmon over 3 fried eggs with Old Bay and a small splash of Sriracha. Grande half-caff coffee from Starbucks with a splash of Half & Half and cocoa powder.
1 pound of natural rotisserie chicken wings with 2 banana peppers stuffed with prosciutto and provolone and 3 sweet peppers. Drink was unsweetened black tea.
After lunch was a 20 minute walk.
Blue cheese chopped salad with walnuts, sirloin steak, and sweet potato. I had a handful of grapes this afternoon for a snack.
After dinner I did three 60 second planks and two 45 second side planks.
No breakfast today. Fasting until lunch around 12 or 1.
Pulled pork salad with shredded carrots and red onions over spinach and arugula. I also had a bar of Green & Black 85% chocolate.
30 minute walk after lunch.
Taco salad. Ground turkey with romaine, grilled peppers and onions, sour cream, and cheese. I also had a couple handfuls of cherries and some almond butter.
Squat: 3x5 @ 275 lb
Overhead press: 5, 4, 4 @ 120 lb
Deadlift: 1x5 @ 300 lb
Today's breakfast was a Mexican scramble with shredded potato hash browns. Scramble has eggs, chorizo, peppers, onions, cheddar, and hot spices. I also had two small bites of the homemade biscuit with homemade blackberry jam.
At lunch we went to Fogo De Chao Brazilian steakhouse. I had about 3 lbs of assorted meats, a couple bites of mashed potatoes, and a grilled banana. Delicious!
