I did a chocolate variation and one with carob. The carob one is totally no cheat. Chocolate one has some stevia drops in it, so it would definitely be a once in a while splurge. My take #1 here.

Can I ask you why the chocolate ones would be considered a cheat? Is it the cocoa or the stevia? I use liquid stevia in my smoothies and tea daily...I thought it was okay.

Because of the stevia. Sweeteners - even natural ones can have some of the same effects on the body as sugar. I personally use stevia rarely - maybe a few times a month. There are some people on this board that use honey almost daily and don't think anything of it - same with stevia or agave nectar. There are other people that classify all the above as well as coconut flour and almond flour a cheat. I was trying to label the thread accordingly. lol. Seriously, for me use of stevia or honey everyday is not something I do b/c it is what is best for me. Everyone has to decide for themselves. Paleo is a pretty individual thing. Some have dairy, some don't. etc. IMO: If you have stevia daily and you feel good, I wouldn't worry about it.
