    Storing meat/fish outside the fridge?

    Primal Fuel
My dad is being butthurt about me eating so much meat. So I figured maybe I just cook a bunch of meat when I am home alone and put it in an airtight container and store it in my room. Can I do this if I consume it within 3 days or so? And what about smoked fish?

Pretty bad idea dude. Some stuff will keep better than others, the drier the better, like jerky, be better sticking to stuff got ready preserved from the store - ie in jars or cans.

Hmm, ok. Well the smoked fish is already smoked in the package so I can store that in my room. And the store nearby also sells one kind of cold-cut cow meat without any additives. So I guess I'll be eating lots and lots of cow and fish then

If it's in the fridge at the store, keep it in the fridge at home, food poisoning is not fun.

I'm thinking the smell of three day old unrefrigerated meat in a tupperware will be enough to turn you off from it...

It's called jerky, pemmican, and hard salumi's. Other than that, you don't have other options.
