Yes 8lbs!! I am so stoked

We have had a heat wave here on the last couple of days it's cooled down a little today so I believe I will attempt that hike again. I would like to continue the downward trend and continue it while on my cruise It is so liberating to know that I am almost effortlessly losing weight I have been accumulating for the last 8 years.
I have been zig zagging back and forth but have continued the downward trend.
I haven't run 4 miles every other day or continuously for 45 minutes a day. I haven't gone to the gym and worked my proverbial ass off. I haven't been starving with rice cakes and the occasional 100 calorie bag of crap cracker cookies that make you want more.
I can't get over the fact I am seeing the changes in my body - physical changes in my stomach and my back side.

I finished my paper and I hope I get a good grade on it. My DSD is taking the same online class and I think she is having difficulties and likes the in classroom settings. Only hting is she won't come and ask for help or sit and study with me b/c she has her head up her BF's ass. kids.

I am not perfect by any means. i just wish people would use common sense myself included.
I am going to head out to the store for some goods. Maybe come back with a few steaks to throw on the grill tomorrow, Unless we go to the lake. I have to watch what I buy as we have the people coming out to exchange the fridge on Wednesday - so I will have to transport every thing back to the garage fridge. My freezer is almost empty so i think I will just buy things to cook and eat for the next few days. It's a beautiful day I'm going to go enjoy it

    You go girl! That's fantastique.

I know how you feel about how satisfying it is to do it this way. Granted, I did work hard today, but that's not normal. My workouts don't kill me anymore and I get to eat real food. Those 100 calorie crap packs and rice cakes are just demeaning. Ugh. Never again.

Oh yes! One of my first rules in losing weight, even pre-primal, was no diet food. No fake food. I wanted to live with real food, and it just stood to reason that if you're eating fake food, you haven't learned how to eat properly.

    Enjoy the process, CM.

Nope no diet food as I sit here and eat my Salmon patties yummers - and salad although the dressing is Ranch from a bottle I was too lazy to make any. I came back from my hike I did 22 regular push ups (11 in a row 2x) REGULAR! NO KNEES! Then I found a platform which holds up a big sign and I was able to do dips. my hike was the 3.6 miles. Very hilly, and jogged some parts of it. Got bit by a Horse fly (bastard).

Today was a good day, a day of reflection by myself, doing my homework with no distractions. Now to go fold laundry after I get a nice warm shower. I need it. lol.

Washed the car yesterday and folded just about every piece of clothing in the house lol.
Today DS and I are goofing around and going to get him some new swim trunks before our cruise. Need to go get his class ring sized -
I am relaxing today I am going to attempt to read the conclusion of PB and look around for bathing suits for the cruise (gross)

Why do the ones that say they love you the most the ones who stompt their feet pout and not talk to you for days on end when you won't comply with their wishes? I'm talking about my DH. He can be such a brat. I love him but I swear he acts like a spoiled child on occasions. I just tell him to go cry about it. I don't have empathy cards

Oh dear. I hope you guys can work things out well.

Did I hear you say somewhere you were a resistance band trainer? I've been thinking about getting myself one, one of those ones with stirrups for both hands and feet. I'd like to add some element of strength training and anything that can be done gently, at home, and with minimal equipment is just the kind of thing I'm interested in. I would have to start very slowly and carefully - lots of issues with my shoulders as well as some arthritis so I'd kind of be feeling my way. What do you think? Would that be a good match for me, or should I just stick to Mark's basic movements? Which I haven't started yet.

I'm no trainer but I use them
I bought the ones from go fit gym It comes with a dvd and all of the necessary bands - light medium heavy and you can combine them to make more resistance. I will be taking them on my cruise also comes with a door anchor - pretty nifty little set of bands.
I would like to get a set of the gravity straps - it's kind of like Trx training using your own body weight as the weight. i'd get one helluva workout! lol

We will work it out we've been together going on 12 years he's just a brat sometimes. I have to remind myself we all have "babies" inside our heads that whine without thinking sometimes. i do it too. I just don't like babysitting lmao

Much respect. I'm still on level 3 of the PBF essential moves for pushups. That's using something like a counter or table and doing them on an incline.

And Judg, I highly recommend Mark's free ebook download of the PBF. The exercises are scaled really well with levels that are good for anybody from weak as a kitten beginner to super stud and everything in between.

Cmlloyd, you sound like you have your head on straight and have the determination to make this work. I wish you well.
