    Call for links/articles: Why HIIT is more beneficial than Cardio

    Primal Fuel
    For friends who are curious why you do 20 mins. of HIIT instead of jogging for 60 mins....what is the best article you've seen that summarizes one can pass along ?...Is there one article that sums it all up? Most of my saved links are from "internet gurus/quacks/blogs" so I am hoping for something a little more credible and mainstreamfor the masses that may cite some real science and studies.

    A credible article that summarizes the follownig tenets of HITT (Did I forget any?)
    * HIIT raises resting metabolism
    * HIIT releases HGH
    * HIIT = uses fat/ATP energy source (vs. LSD = carbo energy source)
    * LSD stimulates appetite (or, HIIT suppresses appetite)
    * LSD makes the body go into "energy conservation" mode. (retain fat, etc)
    * LSD bad for joints (more wear/tear)
    * LSD = cortisol/stress (weakens immune system = sick)

    Sixty minutes of jogging is for most runners, 5 - 7 miles. (8.30 min miles - 12 minute miles). Hardly what anyone would consider long distance running.
