I have been sleeping SO much better without the dairy already! My stomach is also a bit flatter, and it's only been 3 days. Super motivating!!

    Hey guys!
My first 3 days went horribly (I went out of town to visit family and party a bit.)
Looking forward to the rest of the whole30! day 4 and I am back on track.

    So proud of everyone!

Hmm. Maybe I'll bump up my starches/fruits. Thanks!

Hi all. Still going well here. So far, I've lost 2 lbs. I know, I know, not supposed to weigh, but it's what I do. Last time I didn't weigh for a month I gained 6 lbs. I think daily weighing helps keep me focused.

Feeling pretty good physically, but tired today. My kids kept me up a lot last night. Daughter had a tantrum at 2 am of all times to have one. Geesh. It sucked.

    I hope everyone's having a great day!

Not stupid at all! When in doubt, go for the dark, leafy greens: spinach, collard greens, kelp, broccoli, swiss chard, kale. Also: brazil nuts, celery, almonds, papaya and oranges all have calcium.

also, make bone broth from the leftover chicken bones, and you can get beef marrow bones for broth, too. You should put 1-2 Tbsp. of apple cider vinegar in the pot to help dissolve the minerals in the bones, and cook for 24-48 hours. make a big batch and freeze it for use in soups and stews. this is probably how humans got alot of calcium throughout history, since many adult populations do not eat dairy! once a person is weaned, they are done with milk! (and many people cant tolerate dairy anyway)

I have decided to try this Whole 30, since I have not been able to lose a few last pounds. Also, I noticed I have been eating too much chocolate, and nuts, when I have not made time for a proper meal. I lost 2 pounds since Friday, but I wont weigh myself again, until my annual dr.'s exam next week. I just had to know if I am going in the right direction, and I feel "lighter".
    So far, so good.

You know the saying, when the student is ready, the master will appear..or something like that. That's how I feel about this. I was checking the forum May 31, and found this thread! Just in time to jump in. And I never have posted, so this will keep me accountable. Thank you, virtual friends!
