ALWAYS follow your doctor's advice, especially in regard to FAD diets!!

Here is a panel of experts from a major network news source:

Primal/Paleo is not for everyone, it's for those who have committed to understand.
READ THE BOOK! ...as Robb Wolf says: "Trying to convince people to save their own ass will burn you out."

Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, and an affront to all I stand for -- the pure enjoyment of food. Anthony Bourdain

    ROTFL.

Thanks, Moochy. I love your finds. That was amusing in a slightly horrifying way.

I'll think I'll now go and spend three hours digging some roots for breakfast, which I'll then eat raw. Fortunately, as I'm a 21st century man and there are antibiotics I shan't get my "first heart attack until [I'm] in [my] eighties".

These three clowns are medical doctors? They're about as well-informed and thoughtful as three random characters off the street.

Yeah my life is sooo busy now, all the time I spend digging up roots; actually I'm too tired to do that cos I'm hungry all the time.

So paleolithic man lived only into his teens and was starving all the time and the paleo diet means you dig for roots all day, eschew antibiotics and basic sanitation and eat everything raw? Good lord! I think the corporations are running scared. By god, don't stop eating all our packaged goods, advertisements coming up in just a minute.

Evidentaly the Doc has not done very much research on the diets he dissed. Whether he agrees with them or not is one thing, but to just make crap up describing a diet is stupid, irresponsible, ignorant, etc.

It's interesting how people think of hunter gatherers as Suvivorman, especially when all you have to do to learn a little bit about them is watch a documentary on Netflix. Not starving, not spending all their time procuring food (and when they do, it doesn't bother them), and old people do exist in the wild!

A lot of times, I think Lewis and I are the only ones who have ever read any accounts of Hunter-Gatherers. I highly recommend this book for anyone who thinks life was "nasty, brutish, and short" for our ancestors:

So to criticize the paleo DIET he says:

"They were starving all the time!" What does food being scarcer back then have to do with the diet?

"They didn't even live to be 18!" And had they eaten grains, sugars, they would have? So cavemen died from starvation, being devoured by animals, inter-tribal war, lack of emergency medicine... What does this have to do with diet you twat?

"They had no antibiotics!" Diet, Diet, Diet! STAY FOCUSED DOC.

    "They had no sanitation!" DIET?

"Digging for roots!" At this point, I'm smashing my head on my desk. All hope is lost.
