I can't get anything unusual in my small town and ordering stuff online is just outrageously priced! Looking forward to what others post though. I like seeing what different things we all eat.
How about telling us about a food or spice you've found and used that most of us may not have! Plus, maybe add a link to where we can find it! Let me start:
Hi Fiber Hemp Protein Powder
With 11g of Protein, 14g of carbs and 14g of FIBER per 4T, this stuff is awesome blended into a morning shake.
It has a very earthy taste to it and might take some getting used to. Also, it would be an excellent idea to mix it in as the last ingredient of your shake as it will thicken it a LOT and QUICKLY.

Currently I am enjoying unpasteurized goat milk, durian fruit, knotweed, fiddleheads and goat testicles- lol

I was going to plant a few fiddle-heads this year, hope I didn't miss the sale yet.
The new things I tried this year: jicama, rutabaga, platan, coconut oil and Japanese sweet potato.
My favorite unusual (for me) spices: cardamon, star anise and sechewan pepper

When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.
Being a Norsky I like my pickled herring.
Oh I have all sorts of fun stuff. I pride myself on a well stocked cupboard. Cardamom, marjoram, real wildcrafted vanilla... you name it, I probably have it (except saffron & lavender. That stuff is expensive unless you pick it yourself!)
