No, nothing personal but by your description I simply remembered this one show were an old rich guy married a very young chick, and her shoes took up half their house basically, lol.

I'm not accusing you of anything really. I don't know how expensive your average shoe is, but let's say 100$. 100 x 100 = 10 000$! That's a fortune (at least for shoes).

unfortunately i didn't marry Mr Money Bags. The only shoes i pay $100 for are ones that were originally $400 or more. Cowboy boots i will pay as much as $250, but they were originally $500 or more. But the ones in heavy rotation rght now were like $20 or $50 to me. So i don't think I have $10k worth of shoes, maybe more like $5k or $6k. Really only about 20 or 30 prs are worth anything. I thought my dolce & gabbanas were worth something, i was going to put them on ebay, but no one wants those pointy heels anymore! I don't understand why, they're classic. I don't get this high heel stiletto platform look i see around, they look like titty dancer shoes.

yes it's kinda horrible, this shoe problem, but i think i just had my last frenzy a few months ago. Now i'm spending all my spare $$ on this gd condo upgrade. After this, i'm gonna be a saving thrifty mofo.

i've had this shoe problem for as long as i can remember. Ever since i was a little girl. I love shoes. I don't really care about clothes at all, my favorite clothes are sundresses. But i love love love love pretty shoes.

I'm with you on loving shoes, but I've never been able to wear high heels. I have a few pairs of highish but they have to be wedges, and even then it's iffy. I do love just straight-up platforms but they're hard to find. At only 5'3" they make me feel a bit taller. Mostly I'm into old-school sneakers and if I had the money I'd be a serious buyer. Pumas, Onitsuka Tigers, Nike Cortez, etc. . .

I have maybe 20-30 pairs, mostly flip flops or high heels, one pair of sneakers, a fewpairs of boots. I would love to find casual flats that I like, but it never happens.

I did a shoe intervention for my husband.... He had 4 pairs of shoes..... 2 sandals, sneakers and unworn dress shoes. I think men do well with :
    Sneakers
    Sandals
    Dress shoe
    Sort of casual leather shoe

I found him a pair of lace up leather shoes and he wears the heck out of them- comfy, but looks nicer than a sneaker.

I think a shoe that bridges the gap between sneaker and dress shoes are so important. But so hard to find.... I need something that bridges the gap between flops and heels.

    Eherm...Where should I begin.

2 pairs of soft star Roo moccasins for work (solid colors look like dress shoes unless closely inspected)
2 pairs of Five Fingers (Bikilas for running until yesterday...Destroyed the upper being overzealous in the mountain range, and KSO for day to day activities and leisure hikes)
5 pairs of Huarache sandals. Unshoes feathers for road running, 3 different pairs of lunas...Equus for casual activities, ATS for longer hikes, and Originals for longer road runs.
New Balance Lifes (originals for quick on the go shoes) I've almost destroyed these as well heh.
