I have EATEN ALL THE THINGS!
    They were delicious.
I smell of fire and rain and maybe a little sweat, but I don't care because there is the lingering powdery smell of Avon SkinsoSoft to keep the bugs at bay as well, and I may be a little bit drunk...
Ice cold cheeky juices are really good on a hot evening with smokey foods.
(I introduced some rednecks to cheeky juice and they agreed!)

    The evening was a success!

i'm quite impressed by your progress. Your walk would''ve tired me out. I may have missed something; what are cheeky juices?

    Ugghhh.... the Cheeky Juice.
Has given me a little hangover.
    LOL.

Evidently this drink also goes by the name of the Manchester.

It's a delicious cold hard cider with a shot of gin(I use Hendrick's) added to it.
Makes it nice and herbal-y clean and refreshing.

And I have doubts as to whether you'd have been too tired... It was just 6 miles. A few hours of hiking.
I think most people could do it... I just didn't think I was there yet.
I'm thinking maybe I'll do it again next weekend on purpose and take my big dogs.
It's out in the middle of hundred of acres of land where I can let them off leash and we can just hike instead of our usual leashed walking.
I need to order a larger camelbak pack though... a 100oz would be better.
Plus not needing to share with husband!

    Walking was good tonight...
I added another leg to my shorter route so that it is not longer than my normal "long" route that is just a hair over 3 miles.

The new leg includes hills that make my quads and bum go "OUCH!" too.

Husband didn't take his phone and map the new distance, but said he thinks it's around 4 miles now.
It was formerly my "short" 2 3/4 mile walk.
    I figure it's 3.5 to 4.
I guess we'll have to take the phone and see next time... though I may well be preferring the easier 3mile fewer hills lake route tomorrow.

    Right now, SOOOOO sweaty.
Walking in FL evenings, even though the temps aren't maxed out yet is a sticky affair.
Tonight we left the house it was about 88 degrees and 78% humidity.

I'm considering taking up swimming... but to do that I'll have to join a local gym to have access to their training pool.
    I'm mulling.
Not sure what the rates are there yet.
It's a major facility where tons of athletes from all over the world train. Olympians and triathletes and shit.
    A little intimidating.
This area is a mecca for all things sport and health though.
Within 5 min from my house there is a crossfit center, boxing gym, like 6 different martial arts centers, a private yoga center, you name it.
I could walk to all of it.
Heck, one of my walking routes goes right by the crossfit place, several of the other places are in the same complex, and I get to listen to their music. They use the walking/bike path for their sprints and stuff.
    It's not for me.
My brain is still pretty easily overload-able. But I do have more confidence for slow and steady these days. A lot more confidence.

Swimming is great exercise and ya don't get the sweaty-sticky-humidity parts in the pool.....

Well... I'd still be walking too.
It would be swimming in addition to the walking.
Still working on longer walking... and hikes.
I'm considering upping the walks to twice a day, adding a shorter morning walk of just a couple miles.
It would make up for the evenings I don't walk because of the summer monsoons anyway. There were too many of those this past week where the afternoon rains stayed late and didn't clear off in time for evening walking like they are supposed to.
Going to do another 10k, or so(maybe plus!), this coming weekend when husband is off, this time on purpose!
    (And no concussions... LOL)

Having lived in the Fla panhandle.... walking in the summer is kind of like swiming anyway, just hotter, thanks to the humidity!!

Good onya for the coming 10k!

So... New goal for this weekend.
I've decided that 13.1k isn't that much damn further than 10k.
I'm going to hike a half marathon.

Yeah, I know... people are supposed to 'run' those marathon things and shit.
    Whatever.
    I'ma hike it.

My bum hurts from the additional hills last night.
I stretched and did a few minutes of 'happy baby pose' before even getting out of bed this morning.
It's the Central FL Butt Lift program.
The stack out back is only gonna get stackier!

I still need to buy a second Camelbak... I really want a larger 3l one, my current old AF issue bak is the 2l and really comfy, but I'm a little worried that the larger size will make it harder to wear.
I'd like one with a little bit of carry on storage too... making it even bigger. Ugh.
Maybe I'll have to compromise with a second 2l with some storage for phone, keys, wallet, little zip bag of potassium in case of emergency numbness/heart flutters.
Husband and I ended up having to share the one 2l we had, which basically sucked because I need a lot of water with my brain and medication issues.
Or maybe I should just look at the larger 3l pack as an opportunity to carry more weight and work myself a little harder, except all that extra space covered up on my back is gonna be swamp-ass hot!
The 3l thermobaks are a great size but you can't carry stuff in them.
    Grrr...

What it's like to hike in FL... WET(Drip, Drop).
You look about the same before and after the shower you take when you come home.

I actually kind of like the southern heat and humidity.
I think it's something you get used to I think.
Not that I had to accommodate much. Tennessee is known for sweltering summers as well, but at least their nights cool down.
That's the thing the non-coastal areas never understand... our nights do not really ever feel "cool" the way the inner states do. And our hot season is much longer of course.
My skin feels glorious in the summer too... and dry and unhappy in the cooler less humid months of winter.

Walked the lake walk tonight which is flatter... added another little 'leg' to it to the next pier.
It was almost exactly 3miles/5k... it's now 3.86miles/6.21k... walked it in 1h8min.
...With the big dogs which means many small dalliances for peeing on ALL TEH THINGS.
I try to keep them moving, they are boys so they Walk:Pause:Sprinkle:Walk pretty darn efficiently.
But still, sometimes they slow things down a bit. It's OK. Love them.

    Also, sunset was beautiful.

I'm just gonna leave this here, because I've been in the weird part of youtube again...
    And I feel like sharing!

FYI... the dude is telling the truth.
    It's TOO DAMN BIG!
He's in the Guinness Book for having "the biggest penis".
I have no idea how he gets people to have sex with him outside the porn industry...
    Because NO. Seriously. Just. No.
Not even if he was gorgeous drop dead sexy... No.
