Equipment advice for SS/SL?
I like the stronglifts style 5x5 workouts, for strength gains on my squat, bench and deadlift. Deadlifts and rows I have no problem with. I don't have a rack of any sort to rest and load my bar on. Just the bar, and the weights. So the heavier I squat, the more weight I need to lift in a sort of powerlift over my head to the correct position on my back. This was fine at first, but adding new weight on the other day, getting the bar into position was harder than the squats themselves! Obviously, continuing like this will end in injury. Same sort of issue with the bench. I workout at home and by myself.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Starting weight: 90kg (11/3/13) (33.1 BMI)
Current weight: 89.5kg (12/3/13) (32.9 BMI)
Goal weight: 75kg (27.5 BMI)
Short term goal: BMI under 30
Mid term goal:
40 pushups, 100 situps, 10 pullups, 10.1 beep test, >10m 2.4km run
Long term goal: Enlist as an ARA Combat Engineer
