I've never had a BLT; however, yesterday I had a craving for one (pretty odd). Anyway, if you like bacon, you and haven't tried this, you are missing out.

I made a BLT wrap. SUPER easy. Just used lettuce leaves as a wrap for nitrite free bacon and sliced tomatoes. I think I'm addicted!

I may end up adding some sliced egg for a new variation today.

    Is it lunch time yet?????

Definitely add the eggs, that's one of my favorite combinations. I like a BLT "salad"... it's good with just greens, bacon, tomato, and hard boiled eggs. Sometimes I add other veggies (onions and bell pepper are good), or other meat (especially if it's bland), or whip up some sort of mayo-based dressing.

I used to not like raw tomatoes or bacon. It's crazy just to think about.

I love, love, LOVE BLTs, especially in summer. And a friend of mine makes BLT appetizers. I don't know exactly what's in it, but if it's not primal you can probably make up your own. She stuffs grape tomatoes with bacon, shredded lettuce, and probably some mayo...tasty and bite size!

MalPaz, that sounds similar to what I buy. (Mine is Wegmans store brand.) I'm sure it's not ideal, but it's the best I can find (and afford) easily.

MalPaz - I'm pretty sure I bought that brand a few weeks back. If I'm thinking of the same stuff, it was *extremely* salty. Bacon is salty, obviously, but this stuff was almost too much to take.

man i loooooooooooove blt salads - a blt wrap is a great idea.

i can't wait till the tomatoes are really red and juicy and in season. they kind of suck right now.
