So all your furniture consists of bean bag chairs?

I'd like to stroll confidently up to the K-Mart returns window, hoist a used bean bag chair onto the counter, and thrust a tattered receipt towards the clerk. This bean bag chair smells like farts. I wish to return it.

The plan is to go with a Bohemian/Arabic thing with lots of pillows and cushens and throw blankets to be piled as desired for comfort. I may resort to beanbag chairs.

    And that's mean! And funny.

What kills me is these stupid politicians in Pennsylvania who can't say Pennsylvania (our last 2 governors).

They say Pensive-ania. It's no longer "Penn's woods," it's now the land of the anal-retentive ruminants (aka, freakishly obsessive bovines?).

Come to lovely Harrisburg, PA, a day's drive to such local destinations as Blue Ball, Bird in Hand, Paradise, and Intercourse... and I'm not making any of those up.

I like the whole Boho-Arab vibe: belly dancing, roasting goats, winesacks, hookahs...

Road trip through TN and you can visit Bell Buckle, Bug Tussle, Frog Hop, and Possum Trot... Among others.

Ohh... let us know when it's done... that could be the best 'open house' celebration ever.

My *shitter reading book (The Mother Tongue: English and How it Got that Way) just finished up an hilarious section on pronunciations, effed up British names, and American place names. Funny stuff, will have to post some here.

*I wind up reading quite a bit this way.

Pfft- I don't live in Houston. (Or Dallas anymore, but that's another story.) It just irks me when someone butchers a name. Mexia, sure, innocent mistake. Nacogdoches, I can see how you'd butcher that. Hell, I can even see how you butcher the poor Rio Grande. But the fourth largest city in the nation? Now you're just an idiot.
