    protein powder vs gelatin

    Primal Fuel
    Hey fellow groks!

Does any one have information on using Gelatin such as

Amazon.com: Bernard Jensen Products - 100% Pure Gelatin, 14 oz powder: Health & Personal Care

    or

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Great Lakes Unflavored Gelatin, Kosher, 16-Ounce Can (Pack of 2)

I'm looking to find a non-whey alternative for protein supplementation and so far gelatin seems to be the best, can any one offer any insight?

    Thanks y'all!!

I make what the Knox gelatin company calls "Knox blocks". You need a small amount of a cold liquid to soften the gelatin powder (I use lemon or lime juice) then a larger amount of hot liquid to dissolve it (I use a strong brew of Rooibos tea). You can play around with the proportions depending on how stiff you like your jello to be. You can also make savory jello blocks using broth. Have fun.
