My only point is to share information. People will make use of it what they will.

The point is "will it make me lose weight faster?" if so i can do with out dinner and just have the shake!

in the end calories are going to count, unfortunately you can't always figure out how many calories, and that is why it is so important to follow your hunger. If you normally eat a dinner that has 2 times the calories as the shake yes you will likely lose weight. But assuming you are eating primally and healthfully you will also be losing out on nutrients. this will tend to lead to the need for binging to try to make up the difference between the nutrients you intake and the ones your body needs. It is a viable solution short term, but not likely to work long term. I also assume you want to lose fat long term as opposed to just pounds/weight short term. In this case it is probably better to use the shake as an occasional thing. Good luck

Thank you for that. I usually do a workout ever evening so im never that hungry after the workout so its easy to skip dinner and just have the primal fuel shake. But as you advise i will only do this week days and have a good dinner weekends to make sure i get all the nutrients. And Im looking to loose 2 stone in the next 2 months that why im being strict on myself.

    Thanks again.

Skip dinner altogether. Or skip breakfast. No need for a meal replacement drink. We call it intermittent fasting.

I would be shocked if you could do that healthfully, or even unhealthfully. Unless you just started and have not lost any yet, you could expect a bump due to water weight loss. You might lose the first stone (14 pounds right?), in the first month, but asking for more than 8lbs the second is really pushing it. Good luck!

To be honest I don't think I'm up for that, the primal shake is light but at least its something. I see having the primal shake as an intermediate step to intermittent fasting. That's why i'm hoping it will make me lose the weight faster.

If you aren't willing to try to do the fasting thing properly, the best way to stem your hunger is probably with fat, not protein. Your body doesn't really differentiate between consumed fats and the ass-blubber you were burning the minute before. It's not the same as fasting straight through, you still have to burn all of the ingested fat calories before you go back to ass-blubber.

If you eat protein or carbohydrate, you cause a bit of a paradigm shift. Now your body doesn't have to make ketones to feed the cells that have to have either them or glucose, because you just ate something that it can easily make glucose from.

This is the reason people do "bulletproof fasting" and "Atkins fat fasting." (I call them bulletproof NOT fasting and Atkins fat NOT fasting).
