I started Brazilian jiu-jitsu yesterday! It was a lot of fun. Brought me back to my high-school/college wrestling days. I think I did alright for a beginner. I managed to sink in a rear naked choke on one of my training partners. He tried for an armbar, but I got out of it, took his back and sunk in the choke. That was my one shining moment. For most of the class, I just got rolled up by more experienced guys. I asked a lot of questions, and everyone was very helpful. Can't wait to go back tomorrow!

I believe this is another Australian Aborigine:

Congrats on the crazy weight loss! I need to lose a similar amount as you did. Can you give me some info on your menu and training routines? Thanks.
I work about 80 hours a week, so I don't always have time to make meals. I make enough food so I have a week's worth of breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is usually scrambled eggs with some kind of meat mixed in and some veggies. Lunch is usually meat and veggies (my lunch this week is venison and bacon tomato stew). Dinner may be the same as lunch, but I'll often make a different meal for dinner, again meat and veggies. I drink a glass of orange juice with breakfast, and I have water with some lemon and lime juice added to it with lunch and dinner (citrus fruit juices contain a lot of electrolytes). I rarely ever snack.
As far as workouts go, I lift weights Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday are rest days, but I stay active, going for walks or bike rides. I walk long-distance and run sprints on Sundays. I just started doing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which I'll be doing on Tuesdays. I also just started doing SimpleFit as a supplement to my weightlifting.
I do intermittent fasting one or two days a week, usually Friday and maybe Sunday. I just skip breakfast those days. I take a multivitamin every other day to cover my bases in case I'm not getting enough from my food. I also take saw palmetto and fenugreek every other day. It's supposed to help boost testosterone.

That's what we are working on right now. Luckily for me I am home for breakfast, lunch and dinner so that will make it much easier. Just keeping the correct foods in the house will be the most important part.
