    Grok Donalds?

    Primal Fuel
... a little Saturday evening fun at Chez PJGH

Chicken (well, Turkey) GkNuggets over caesar calad with fries.

Here's my "pink slime" ... a pound of turkey mince, sea salt, white pepper, little ground coriander, some spring onions (scallions) and minced chilli.

Formed into balls, squashed and rolled in a flour of almond flour, farina and cocoyam. Deep fried in dripping.

Meanwhile, build the salad. Caesar Salad.

... lettuce, cucumber, tomato, feta, then the Caesar dressing: one egg yolk, parmesan, garlic, mustard, sea salt and lemon juice.

Potato fries deep fried in dripping.

    GkDonalds:

Dang. Impressive. Your fries look perfect!
If you are new to the PB - please ignore ALL of this stuff, until you've read the book, or at least http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-blueprint-101/ and this (personal fave): http://www.archevore.com/get-started/

Starwind - Dripping is the fatty juices collected from meat. In the UK, we tend to call the fat collected from pork, "Lard", and the fat collected from beef, "Dripping". Dripping has a very high smoke point and resists oxidisation for a good long time, making it very good for frying.

tfarny - Thanks, pal. Dripping is the perfect fat for frying, giving that deep gold colour. Chips, as we call them in the UK, are generally much thicker, but at American fast food restaurants they serve fries, which we often call "skinny chips".

Potato in the primal diet? Check out a couple of articles up on the website: Are Potatoes Paleo? | Mark's Daily Apple and Are Potatoes Healthy? | Mark's Daily Apple - I keep the portion size down, always remove the skins, eat as a treat a couple of times a week on active days and eat with a good amount of fat.

Funnily enough, eating fast food was never part of my lifestyle prior to eating ancestrally. Maybe folks finding it hard to transition will gain some joy from this.

We had a lot of fun, anyway ...
