    Creatine

I've been working out much more lately and I wanted to add creatine in addition to my protein shakes. Is there a particular brand that's better or anything I need to know?

Just make sure it says creapure on it if you're getting monohydrate. But for the record, I dropped creatine and didn't miss a beat as far as strength gains go. If you're getting plenty of meat then theres really no need to supplement with it IMO.

Creatine monohydrate is the only known effective creatine supplement, the others tend to be creatinine precursors. Like MightyMouse said, make sure it is creapure or from a reputable company and make sure it is powder and not liquid (creatine breaks down quickly in water). Its also the cheapest.

I am using Purple Wrath which is a BCAA supplement (recommended on Leangains) not sure how primal this is as it has sweetners.

Are you supplementing with pro or just sticking to real food?

I just started stronglifts 5X5 and am aiming for 1.2g protein per BW lb and finding it difficult to do with real food only (simply due to logistics). Sorry if this is considered thread hijacking.

I've slowly weaned myself off of protein supplements since going primal. I only use a scoop of protein every other week maybe. I've just been adding more meat/fish. For post workout I replaced protein powder with 4oz of liver.
