any chance we can ban threads with links to blogs?

    Primal Fuel
seems like a small portion of the people on here use this part of the forum to promote their blog, and really never post anywhere else ..

    can this stop?

most of these recipes arent the type of stuff most of us follow with fake flours, unwelcomed sweeteners, etc... and most of the time the OP doesnt have the decency to post the recipe, we have to click to their blog just to find out we dont wanna eat that crap ..

maybe its a rant .. but i love this site and hate seeing it abused to promote other people .. if you have 1 thread about your blog good for you.. but there are a few people that post 3-4 recipes a day it seems all in seperate threads .. damnit, its annoying!

Shall we ban links in other people's signatures? There are people who post recipes in the threads themselves, which is nice. For me, it depends on the blog, itself. If the presentation is messier, there, then I see your point. But, more often than not, the presentation in blogs I've come across have been clean, and easy to follow.

I think I'd rather just encourage you to get over yourself and your "sweeteners and nut flours are a sin against God" tirade. *tosses bottle of chill pills*

Maybe some of us like posting in the recipe forum because people like you generally leave us alone here. Maybe we feel attacked in the other forums/threads.
We're happy here. You have the rest of MDA to run amuck on. If it bothers you that much, avoid the recipe forum. If you need a purist recipe, google it, or use supercook.com where you plug in the ingredients you have on hand.

How about you stop being tyrannical on a forum you don't own? Just because you don't eat something or disagree with someone else doing it isn't a reason for an all-out ban on links that share those recipes. That's insane. What if they banned all fast-5 mentions? Not everyone fasts. Not everyone thinks it's healthy. Why not just eat 3 meals a day instead of IF, someone might say. That's what you sound like when you want to censor and criticize the choices of others.

I don't get haters. They don't like/do or can't have something and they want to make sure no one else does either. That's a sickness. Stop trying to control others and what they can talk about. So many of your posts do nothing but make passive-aggressive attacks on people that have no impact on your life whatsoever. Even if you are trying to be helpful and have good intentions, you're coming off as a hateful extremist. There are hundreds of versions of paleo eating and Mark Sisson himself has posted blogs with coconut and almond flour.

I hope the mods delete THIS thread for being completely uncalled for.

its not hating on the recipes.. its the lack of focus and the fact taht it drives newbies to use products that no doubt hinder thier progress .. and also creates a crutch when the idea of a site like this is to take in the LIFESTYLE ..

sure, Mark (and i have to respect him we are on his site but he isnt god just like im not) may eat some things with coconut flour on occasion, but look at the man, talk about in amazing shape .. most people taht post here about the crap flours etc also post or have signatures pointing out how dissapointed they are with their progress. .

Bork Bork, you are a special case, and since you slammed me in the other thread i commented there.. get off the soap box .. im simply trying to keep us ON TARGET! anyone with half a mind living this lifestyle would know that the 80/20 rule is for when you are at goal weight etc IF you decide to do that, and its not a planned "oh with 20% of my food intake i plan on pizza and bread made of exotic want to be flours" ... its more choco style occassional once a month treats or if youre stuck in a situation trying not to be rude etc..

i believe this thread was ENTIRELY about links to blogs .. im just sick of it.. and ive been PMd by several others that will agree and wont speak up, so i speak for more than myself here

When did I slam you in the other thread? You make me feel like a WWF wrestler. Slam, lol. Silly boy.
I tease. I pick. If you can't figure out I'm sarcastic, you might want to work on your sense of humor. Don't get all offended now "my sense of humor is fine!"
    *tease* you have no soul.

my signature is merely there for me to track my progress. It's not complaining. Would you like me to remove the emoticons? Would that help you feel better?

This isn't a group project. Stop trying to force everyone to do primal your way, and bashing them if they don't.

You have a very strict approach, and that's fine - not everyone does.

you may think im strict, but obviously you dont read my journal or posts..

im simply saying can we PLEASE stop trying to boost up blogs around here? its not the point of the recipe section .. copy and paste it and give credit, dont just freakin make me hop and skip over to other pages just to get your hit count up and help you sell ad space ..
