Slept like a log last night - for some reason I sleep better after a carby meal.

    Hm, not much to report.

    Yesterday:
B - yoghurt, banana, rasp, honey, coffee
L - tuna, roast veg salad, pesto
T - steak, onion, leek, butter

Today will be the same, pretty much.

So far I am tolerating the T3. Have been sleeping like a log, and no side effects, so I upped my dose yesterday. Hopefully I'll see some weight loss soon!

Still no loss! Trying to be patient.

B - yoghurt, honey, banana, raspberries
L - tuna, roast veg salad,
Snack - 4 dates, small piece cheese
T - steak, onion, leek, butter, rocket

    ~1589 cal, 105 protein, 131 carbs.

    Exercise - 1 hour walk.

On the plus side I am sleeping awesomely. Although the thryoid still musn't be right as a needed a one hour nap this arvo in spite of many good nights.

Sleeping well is awesome, and taking a nap isn't so bad either. Its really nice to come home and just veg out when its as cold outside as it was today. Snuggling up on the lounge sounds perfect.

Too right it's awesome! But napping when you have had 9+ hours probably isn't a good sign! I've been sleeping like a log every night still though, so it has done a lot to improve my mood. Also, recently I have been struggling with the samurai sudoko at the back of the weekend magazine for the (Sydney herald?). Then this week and last week I finished it, and this week was the 'hard' one, and I did it in exactly 1 hour whilst walking on my treadmill. Maybe the brain fog is clearing?

I've decided to up to the final dose level of my throid hormones, as I still haven't had side effects but also no loss.

Went out for lunch with my mum an sis today and was pretty good. I also bought a gorgeous red duffel coat, really soft, fitted, flattering - and 40% off, gorgeous, I LOVE winter coats. And cause I'm such a cold frog I get the wear out of them.

    B - quiche, pesto, coffee
L - poached egg, avo, chorizo on gluten free bread with hollandaise sauce, small skim cap, and 1/3 of a pice
of banoffee pie (we all shared)
T - steak, onion, leek, butter, rocket

Guessing about 1900 cal, but that's good for a meal out.

Exercise - 1 hour on tready, plus walking around the shops.

Then I went to mum's and watched two hours of 'MAde in Chelsea' that she'd taped for me.

I got an email back from the doc today about my belated high rt3 results, but she said not to worry, my t3 dose is enough, and just give it time to work. I repeat to msyelf....P.A.T.I.E.N.C.E!!

Not a bad day today, except I accidently slept for almost 2 hours this arvo, instead of the half hour nap I'd planned, cause I screwed up the alarm. Ah well. And that was in spite of a pretty good night last night. Raining cats and dogs, so I didn't go for a run. Instead this arvo I did half an hour on my boxing bag, and 15 min walk on the tready.

    Food-
    B - quiche, pesto
L - soup, rice thins with cottage cheese and tomato
    Snack - rice thins
Te - steak, onion, leek, butter, rocket

    Roughly 1540 cal, 103 protein, 113 carbs

I think I am going to go MIA for a while. I am sick of not losing and sick of being patient. It may be a bad idea, but I am starting a meal replacement shake/bar program tomorrow. I know it's fun of nasties, but I really want to lose 5 kilos quite fast, to get me back to some sense of self-confidence and fitting in my clothes. I am sick of trying to balance low calories with primal - i'm sick of weighing and planning everything, and to lose weight it seems that counting is what is necessary for me. I am sick of shopping for fresh food 4 times a week and batch cooking all weekend and carting around bags of lettuce and salad everywhere I go. I just want a few weeks where I don't have to think about it, weigh things, measure things, count things, and the shakes will allow me to do that. I firmly believe primal is the healthiest lifestyle diet option, and is something to follow for your whole life, but it is not helping me achieve my weight loss goals. Hopefully a few weeks on the shakes will help me lose that first chunk of weight, and I'll slowly transition back to primal.

Hope that it works for you Lucy. I'll miss you here though! Best wishes for your journey back to primal once the weight is gone.

Best of luck with that. Come back when you need encouragement or support (even if your not doing primal!)
