    Low carb snacks

    Primal Fuel
Wanted peoples views on low carb snacks.Say you were in a bind you forgot your nuts or your boiled eggs etc for a snack at work and you were really hungry and really flat and you cant stop for lunch yet would you eat one if it was available to you? Most of these i have seen are high protein low carb avergae fat. Please can we forget that its not a primal thing but if you were in a real bind or any other ideas as some days i find im just not as prepared as i should be so i just do without. And i would like to add i have never eaten one of these but its just a question what would you eat in a bind.

Beef jerkey? Hard cheese? Heck, table spoon of coconut oil or butter for that matter (actually I hear a lot of people keep this in a jar at work and spoon it in when they feel flat...BAM ENERGY!). 90+% Dark chocolate. Bag of carrots (don't know how low carb your talking), home made cream cheese, just about any bite sized vegetables ....I can eat a red pepper like an apple, even a whey shake....sure I could think of more, but yes these are all things I would consume before considering an "Atkins bar" or some crap. That said, "would I eat it"....yeah sure if I felt like it. Just like I eat hot wings at a bar on occasion and still drink beer.

    I'd buy some nuts.
I would never eat an atkins bar...lol, I hate food that tastes like crap and would not waste the calories.

I.F. you think about it, you can come up with a zero-carb, healthful solution to your conundrum. See what I did there?

Sometimes you can find hardboiled eggs at some small stores. Most things in convenience stores aren't going to be very healthy, even if they are called jerky or nuts or whatever. Just make the best choice you can, even if you have to choose a banana. At least bananas are real.

How about rotisserie chicken? Those things are everywhere, and many of them don't have TOO much extra stuff in them.

Why are we snacking? Are we 3? Try to plan ahead better, eat a bigger breakfast and/or IF. I find it helps if I slug away 30 oz of water between meals.

Embrace your hunger. Snacking only stimulates appetite.

    qft.

Eat a good (fatty) breakfast. Skip lunch. Drink water.

All of those are good options and they can all be used in conjunction with each other.
