I'm puffy because I'm PMSing. DO NOT FREAK OUT, SELF. THE WORLD HAS NOT COME TO AN END.

In other news, back to one-ish meal a day. I had raspberries for dinner.

Ate 3 crushed garlic cloves last night before going to bed. Supposed to help with water bloat...and blood pressure! Less bloated today, but a little softer than normal.

Still super full. Had a peach, cashews, and an almond flour sugar free lemon tart...ages ago. Sipping on water now with ACV. Mmmm... Had a decaf with milk and not cream, and that wasn't the best idea, but it wasn't terrible.

It's weird to be satiated yet not full. Odd feeling.

I'm overdoing it on the dairy. Salmon cream cheese, cream, brie, mozzarella and goat cheese in salads. My skin and scalp are getting flaky. But it's so satiating! Hmmm. HMMM.

I don't know why I have to go back to dairy. It always causes stalls. But it is so damn good. Dammit.

In other news, I checked my blood pressure this afternoon. Yes. I am now one of the olds who checks her blood pressure.

    125 / 72 mm Hg.

BAM! In yo face, blood pressure! Garlic FOR THE WIN!

Bought some chocolate almond milk to replace dairy.

Now lets have some parsley tea, and see if we can't get this period party started somewhat on time...

    Day 1: No dairy.

Had bacon, liver and onions for breakfast. I salivated as I rinsed off the liver. Then the texture once again freaked me out. I need a good recipe for pâté.

I think dairy, even organic dairy, messes with my cycle. I went from a still-long 34 day cycle to a 38-43 day cycle. Uh, what?

    New goal: 28 day cycle.

I have never had this in my life. I wonder what it would mean in terms of energy.

Regarding the blood pressure - lots of things will cause it to go up.

First off, you were in a grocery store which brings to mind 3 factors.

    1. You were moving - you had to walk to the machine, right?
    2. The cuff was probably the wrong size.
    3. The machine is likely not calibrated/hasn't been calibrated in a long time.

Secondly, blood pressure readings can change VASTLY in a matter of minutes. You can take your bp and get one reading. Immediately redo it and get a reading that is off by 10 points in either direction. Try it at the grocery store sometime. You'll be surprised how much it can change in a matter of seconds.

Third, if you're under any amount of stress, it'll be elevated. And reading through your journal over the last few weeks would tell anyone you're under a great deal of stress.

Keep checking it periodically and if it remains elevated, then see a doctor. If it doesn't get that high again, consider it a fluke.

    Stats time!

So it's been well over a year...where are my measurements now?

    4/8/12.....................6/16/12............8/22/13
    Waist at BB: 40"........37.5" (-2.5).......37" (-3")
    Waist: 32"................30" (-2)............29" (-3")
    Hips: 42"..................42" (0).............40" (-2")
    Thigh: 24.5".............22.5" (-2)..........22" (-2.5")
    Calf: 14.5"...............13.5" (-1)..........13" (-1")
    Chest: 34"...............32" (-2).............31" (-2")
    Bust: 38".................36" (-2).............37" (-1")
    Upper Arm: 13".........12.5" (-.5)..........11" (-2")

So we can see that even though there was some backsliding in the past year, etc., I have still made progress! Net 16.5" lost!!! Yay!

    :-D

Ooh, interesting. Maybe I'll do this today. I have ants in my pants and need to go for a walk/to the gym.
