Pork Chops and Pears in Cream Sauce

Someone on my journal asked for this recipe, so I'll just share with all as well.

    4 Pork Chops
    3 Tbsp. Butter
3 Medium Pears, peeled and chopped
    3 Tbsp. Shallots
    3 Garlic cloves, minced
3 Tbsp. Brandy or Chicken Broth
    1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. rubbed sage
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1/2 tsp. pepper

Brown the pork chops in butter, then remove and keep warm. Saute pears and shallots until crisp, then add garlic for 1 min. Add brandy and cook on medium until liquid evaporates. Stir in 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream and seasonings until the sauce thickens, then throw back in the chops until they're done, about 8-10 minutes depending on thickness.

I have to say, I think it tastes really good and is fairly quick to make, so it's kind of one of our go-tos for quick dinners. We also use bosc pears instead of bartlett.

No problem. We usually skip the brandy part too.

I didn't notice it. I was hung up on how much I needed to rub the sage.

Pork chops and pears...hmmm, why didn't I think of that combo? Could be interesting. I must try this.
